  2. Same opinion here, I do believe that the US government was aware of the possible incoming attack but did nothing to prevent it.
  3. I'm running a GTX660 and I'm very content of it, it's a very good price/quality ratio.
  4. UPDATE: IMPERSONATION The homeless man shot dead by LAPD last sunday during an altercation, and which video was publicly released on social networks, was impersonating a french citizen for years, said the Los Angeles Times this tuesday. According to the newspaper, the man shot dead in the neighborhood sinisterly called Skid Row, where several homeless people live, was calling himself Charley Saturmin Robinet. He came to the United States more than 15 years ago. However, according to Axel Cruau, French Consul in Los Angeles and contacted by the american newspaper, this homeless man stole the identity of a french citizen by using the passport of this person who came to the US at the end of the 90s. The french authorities discovered the identity theft after the man who was calling himself Charley Robinet was condemned for a robbery in 2000 and the american authorities were preparing themselves to extradite him to France. The true Charley Saturmin Robinet "is alive and in France", explained the Consul. The former lawyer of the homeless man, Steven Cron, had on his side precised that the fake Charley Robinet was condemned to 15 years behind bars for an armed robbery commited in 2000. "I remember this case quite well, it was rather clear: several guys robbed a bank and came out with a load of cash. They then got followed by the law enforcement, there was a pursuit and they threw nails on the highway", Steven Cron told. Eventually, police caught the robbers and the fake Charley Robinet admitted his crime on a recording tape. "If I remember well, he said he needed money to pay himself theater courses", added the lawyer. "All the other robbers pleaded guilty, but him insisted to go to trial. I tried to change his mind, but he insisted. He strongly defended himself during the trial but we lost", Steven Cron told again. "I think he was condemned to 15 years of jail, and he got out in 2013", he said.
  5. After messing around with the emerglights_emis textures, that's what I ended with for a red and blue version of your model. But the way the lights are set does indeed result in unusual lightning (like the lightbar lights being inverted between the front and the back, and the ion lights having both red and blue lights next to each other):
  6. And ELS ruins your game experience, so it's an endless circle, at some point you'll have to do some minor sacrifices to balance the whole thing.
  7. Can't download anymore, says the archive is damaged and can't be recovered. Also, screenshots don't appear anymore on the download page.
  8. GTA V won't be outdated graphics-wise before a long while. Besides, it's already going to melt most of the computers, nearly no one will use an ENB, except if you want to run the game as slides session due to the framerate drop. As for the snow mod, I understand some people might like it, but I have trouble imagining a Californian coast city covered in snow. It's a realism-killer to me.
  9. Dunno but it looks nice. I wish more police departments were using V-shaped lightbars. It looks more dynamic, and is most likely more aerodynamic.
  10. And I bet you're all out of bubblegum.
  11. You can be baffled as much as you want, my point is still completely relevant, there are just two different cultures and ways to think.
  12. As I see a lot talking about hitting a child and all that, I'd like to remind what really is a spank. It's a simple slap on the butt. Not a kick, not a punch, not a blow where you put your full strength, just a light slap on the cheek. It's harmless. And OBVIOUSLY it has to be used as a last resort, not automatically.
  13. Well, just for this part, I'd like to say that a huge majority of police officers in France have never used their weapons on duty. Actually I remember a detective in Paris that was working for the criminal and drugs traffic department (so often in direct contact with drug dealers and gang members) admitted he never used his gun in more than twenty years of carreer. And my own dad, cop for more than 30 years, never had to use his weapon even once in his carreer. So that says it all. There are just two different cultures. One where weapons and usage of force are allowed and not really frowned upon, and another where weapons are considered taboo.
  14. The thing is, IMO kids need to have the threat of being punished, even if they eventually never are. As far as I can remember, in my childhood I've been spanked twice and slapped once, so it wasn't a recurrent thing, yet since I was scared to be punished, I behaved correctly. As Pavelow stated, I think that's why newest generations are so decadent and defiant, they don't have the fear of being punished (saying "It's bad, don't do that" won't be as efficient as "It's bad don't do that or you'll get spanked"). It's the same for laws. People respect them because they have the fear of being punished. If laws were just "Don't do that because it's bad", everyone would break them.
  15. If you expected something naughty, too bad, you can look elsewhere! Behind this catchy title lays the eternal debate of: should parents be allowed to spank their children? The European Council, after the demand of a british non-governmental organization looking over childhood protection, should symbolically condemn France, because there wouldn't be enough protection regarding the law about punishment towards children. The british NGO is blaming french laws to not banish completely physical punishments on our children. And according to the newspaper Le Monde, which was able to consult the decision that will be publicly released in two days, France is about to get slapped on the wrist. Everything started with the association for children protection called Approach, which is saying France breaks an article of the European Social Convention regarding the "lack of explicit and effective interdiction of all physical punishments towards children". This complaint was judged receivable in July by the European Commitee of social rights of the European Council, paneuropean organization intended for promoting dialogue on democracy and human rights. However, according to the revealed decision by Le Monde, Approach association has been succesful: French laws "do not provide enough defined, specified, binding interdiction about physical punishments". The European Council encourages all the States members to banish physical punishments towards children since a couple years. As of now, 27 of the 47 countries members of the organization adopted a legislation towards this, the first being Sweden, model student since 1979 and cantor of the "positive parenting", which promotes an education without physical punishments of any kind. But other european countries, including France, only banished partially those punishments, like in school or in prison. Children abuses are obviously condemned, but as of now, nothing stops french parents to use the spank as a way to discipline their children. As a french and european citizen, I have several problems with such things. First, I consider spanking as a natural way to educate a child. It's harmless, and it allows parents to keep the threat of a real punishment to keep the kids calm and force them to behave correctly, as well as allowing parents to teach them what is wrong from what is good when they do something bad. In a few words, it's just parenting. Second, I start to get sick of how Europe is getting into everyone's personal affairs, telling everyone how to act and how to think. And third, I don't understand how some people can really bother themselves about spanking, when kids are starving and dying all over the world. What's the most important, a kid getting a spank now and then when they are acting like little devils, or a kid starving to death, molested or abused? The more we go forward in time and the more I feel like the world is losing the sense of priorities.
  16. Personally I don't blame the officers for using their service weapon if they were in a case of immediate danger. But as stated above, what I actually don't understand is how multiple men can't get the best out of a single one (who didn't seem very muscular nor strong). I think there's a mistake from both sides. The man for resisting and trying something stupid that resulted into this outcome, and the officers for not being able to control a single person even though they were quite a lot on him (in addition of losing their baton-having the suspect trying to reach their weapon).
  17. It's not that low-end, there are a lot worse computers out there. Did you check Youtube and Google? You can find a lot of ENBs there.
  18. A few hours ago, in the neighborhood of Skid Row, a struggle involving a homeless man and several officer ended in a tragic outcome. Officers were called for a suspected robbery, and as they arrived on scene, approached the man who, according to Commander Andrew Smith, started resisting and fighting. The officers tried to take him into custody, but couldn't achieve such, and the use of the taser was ineffective, he said. At some point, the situation becomes really blurry, the man fell on the ground with a couple officers and it's hard to distinguish what is happening. According to the Commander, a struggle for one of the officers' weapon started, which resulted in the shooting caught on tape. Two officers and a sergent fired at the homeless man, for an approximate total of five rounds. Complete coverage and video can be found here: http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-police-fatally-shoot-homeless-man-20150301-story.html#page=1 Longer video: UPDATE 3/6/2015: IMPERSONATION The homeless man shot dead by LAPD last sunday during an altercation, and which video was publicly released on social networks, was impersonating a french citizen for years, said the Los Angeles Times this tuesday. 19. On topic, the tires do look a little strange in game, they do not have a unique color on the entire surface, you might want to check it out. Otherwise, nice car.
  20. One question though, will this be ELS enabled? I know you and ELS didn't go along just well for your previous models, so here's hoping it'll be ELS enabled. But I'll get it even if it's not, it'd just be a huge plus.
  21. I think he means the ELS lights are dull and can't be really seen during daytime.
  22. Personally I'm lauching GTA through the .exe and not through Steam (even though I do play with the Steam version), because all those tricks never worked for me.
  23. Thanks, thanks thanks thanks for putting something else than a Liberty on that car. Just for that, instant 5 stars.
