  1. Nah, everywhere in Europe parents are free to teach their children the way they want, this picture was mostly used in an humoristic way (with a hint of reality behind it). I just think it's a bit wrong to turn the kids to look a certain way about life without giving them the choice, like for example baptism. I've never been christened as a baby or kid because my parents wanted to give me the choice of if I wanted to believe in a god or not. Turned out I didn't, but I think it was very fair of them to give me the choice of my beliefs regardless of theirs. But it's my opinion, obviously.
  2. Reminded me one of the best sci-fi movies I've watched, thank you sir.
  3. They can try, but the records show the plane didn't blow up and actually crashed into the cliff. No explosion prior to the crash was seen nor heard by witnesses.
  4. I personally don't even understand what religion has to do with laws. It should remain a private thing, practiced in privacy or in dedicated places like churches, and shouldn't at any point impact the everyday life of another person than you.
  5. Ah, finally this script I saw on Favignano channel shows up here, great!
  6. Welp that's already a huge improvement compared to what I was expecting, thanks for that!
  7. Trying to find out how the universe is working, and how the big bang happened and all that.
  8. Hey! I'm looking for the name of the font used on the Illinois license plates for the Illinois word, as seen below: I'm pondering some skin pack ideas, and something related to Illinois State is one of my ideas, but I'd like to keep it to Liberty, so I'd like to replace the Illinois by New Liberty or something. Hence I need that font! If anyone knows the name of that exact font, or a similar one, feel free to poke me, thanks in advance!
  9. That's assuming that a customer would actually accept to pay more for the same thing. Because we all talk about if it should be legalized without bringing the economic part. If the "job" of prostitute is legalized, that means they will have to pay taxes. If they do, they'll earn less money than before. So if they want to be on the legal side, and still earn the same ammount of money, they'll increase their prices. Increased prices will also lower the ammount of people accepting to go with legal prostitutes, in addition of all I said before. So again, there's no assurance it'll actually do that. Besides, I'm pretty sure a fair ammount of prostitutes would prefer to remain on the illegal side for their own reasons, be it that they want to remain anonymous from government and public, or that they refuse to pay taxes, and so on.
  10. The pilot apparently went through depression in the past, but was described as an enthusiastic man by the club he was in, so it's very strange.
  11. I love your work, Gump, but my game hates it :c
  12. No. If you actually read other responses too, you'd have seen I addressed those points. First, let's talk about illegal prostitution that involves human trafficking. Why would legalizing prostitution reduce any of this? Do you think the pimp of the neighborhood will suddenly go "Yeah, it's legal now, I'll get registered and pay taxes for the job, in addition of a lot of paperwork, without gaining more money, and actually even getting less of it due to taxes"? Of course not, he's there to make money. Do you think that opening a brothel will slow down his activities? Of course not, customers actually have their habits. About STD's, let's say a prostitute is detected with one, what happens? She's forbidden to work as a prostitute? Do you really think she'll be like "Oh okay, it's fine, I'll find something else."? No, she'll keep prostitute herself, just illegaly. And her STD will spread just like before. Legalizing prostitution brings more problem than it solves.
  13. I believe I have explained my point more clearly in my second post. Forced prostitution exists. It's a fact. Some women are forced to go on the sidewalk. Legalizing prostitution won't make it disappear, against what people might think, because there's no reason it'd make it disappear. Why a pimp would decide to go on the legal side of the law, just to pay taxes? Besides, talking about a legal prostitute being much less likely to be subject to extremely degrading conditions, this is not entirely true either. Quite a fair ammount of legal institutions eventually abused of their legal facade to abuse people (look at Scientology, supposedly a legal religious movement that is hidding a very intricated sect). So again, legalizing something gives no assurance that it will be respected by both parties. So why taking the risk of doing so. And as a final note, I also see this potential legalization as just a way for a government to grab easy money on the misery of a couple poor souls who had no choice but to end in this to survive in their struggling life. EDIT: Yay, 500 posts. Didn't expect to use it on such a thread, but totally worth it.
  14. Hey hey, I never said prostitutes were beaten up. It was an analogy. A comparison. Woman being beaten up by her husband = forced prostitution Woman accepting to be beaten up by her husband in exchange of a few bucks = willing prostitution Using this analogy, would you legalize the beating up just because some women accept to be paid for it? I doubt so. Legalizing prostitution will not make the world all pink and cute. Incidents will still happen. STD's will still spread. Laws can't stop that. If laws could stop things, there wouldn't be any drugs in the streets anymore (yeah, you know, the laws forbidding to sell and consume drugs, and though people still do it). Besides, legalizing it would mean that a lot of paperwork would suddenly become involved. And let's face it, no one loves paperwork. Why would a prostitute bother themselves doing the exact same job for the exact same pay (minus the taxes for 'working'), with the paperwork on top of that? It's like making the things more complicated without any counterpart. Without speaking about the prostitutes wanting to do this 'job' anonymously, and so on. I'm pretty sure only a very minor portion of those 'workers' would actually accept to enter the legal vicious circle.
  15. To be perfectly honest, I can't imagine why a man or woman would willingly accept to sell their bodies to random strangers, when actual victims of those treatments desperately crave to escape that system and world they have been abducted into. I mean, on one side, some young girls are getting kidnapped, drugged, and forced on the sidewalk as prostitutes by some pimp, and then, on the other side, I see people WILLINGLY wanting to be treated like that, just for a few bucks. It's against all logic. Let's make an analogy. A lot of women are getting beaten up by their husbands. Would you legalize the beating up just because some of those women actually accept to be beaten up for a couple dollars? It doesn't make -any- sense.
  16. I believe TaylorSwift is making a whole pack of AST cars.
  17. What is poking me is simple. Let's say prostitution is legalized. If a prostitute is detected positive to an STD, are they forbidden to prostitute themselves? If yes, who says this prostitute will not continue to do it the illegal way, just like before? Legalizing prostitution won't stop some people who are not elligible for the "job" to do it anyway. And thus police will still have to take care of those cases anyway, it won't really get rid of them. And actually the whole "police won't have to take care of hookers anymore" is a bit of a false argument. Even if it's legal, no one says no incident will ever happen in those "brothels", just like incidents happen in bars or strip-clubs.
  18. Very mitigated. I have good memories of the show when I watched it back at the time (even if it started being a bit bad in the last seasons due to the absence of Duchovny), and I don't really want them to ruin the show (just like some Mickael Bay did with the Ninja Turtles).
  19. As far as I know, it's an in-game bug when you exit the car. Sometimes it'll keep spinning, sometimes it won't. It was really random to me.
  20. Literally the last file submitted, seriously dude you should make a search before creating a thread just for that.
  21. Well that's something that doesn't happen very often here. And that's very strange conditions to crash. Looking forwards to get the results of the investigation. EDIT: Germanwings indicated that the flight continuously lost altitude during 8 minutes straight before crashing, and a french witness declared that the plane wasn't smoking nor showed any particular problem prior to the crash.
  22. I'll develop my point of view as I realize my post wasn't very explicit about it. Personally, I'm against all kind of prostitution. Not because it would be immoral or whatsoever, but because I have a very romantic view when it comes to sex. What differenciates us from animals when it comes to sex? We feel things. Emotions. Sensations. It's not only a random intercourse to repopulate or anything. To me, sex is the physical expression of a true, shared love, and to me it should keep this sacred meaning. It should mean something, it should be important. Having sex is sharing your purest intimacy with someone else, so it should be done with someone you trust and love. Having random sex just like that is disgusting to me, I don't even understand how it can be hot and sexually stimulating to someone. I'm not saying my opinion is the ultimate truth, nor am I claiming that everything should be the way I say it, but that's how I feel about sex. Yeah, as I said I'm a romantic when it comes to that, can't help it.
