I know this is an old thread, but yes the problem still exists today. Even crashes without scripts installed. Bummer, will have to wait for a fix.

Steele1925 reacted to Reddington in Can someone please make a map that has operable gates at police stations? If you've seen some fivem communities, they've added working gates to all PD/sheriff entrances that require you to honk/press a button. I'd really love something like that. I know there are a couple individual maps which have 1 single gate at MRPD, but I'd like them at all PD/sheriff stations.
Thanks.

Steele1925 got a reaction from hing in How to make NPC Cops use custom vehicles.I do as Lundy suggests, however I just go to GTA V/lspdfr/backup and use Notepad++ to edit the values. I currently have all of my city backup replaced with sheriff as the vehicle and s_m_y_sheriff_01 as the ped, because I'm using a sheriff pack. I also replaced all of my State units to only use police4 instead of the bike. The reason I only edit the backup, is because these units don't ever really spawn like they did in GTA IV. They normally only appear when I call for backup. The only exception is 3 units parked on the road in Blaine County, and 2 units that spawn within a block of the Downtown Police Station. Other than that, it's only your backup units and you. It's all entirely up to you

Steele1925 reacted to Alencar1990 in We need lspdfr for cyberpunk 2077It really depends on how moddable the engine is.
My dream was to play in WD1's Chicago as police,
But Ubisoft games aren't really mod friendly.
Having ZERO mod tools really guts the replayability, sadly.

Steele1925 got a reaction from teajay83 in Patchday##ng questions...Good afternoon buddy.
Simply put, I place all vehicle mods in GTAV/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/patchday14 . The game will load the latest version of a vehicle model from the latest patchday folder. This is what works for me. However, if you have vehicles that require you to replace a .meta file, then it's important to place them wherever they tell you to. I hope this helps

Steele1925 reacted to Kingtutuk in My First SkinsHi,
I would just like to show off my first Skins, These are just for my game as I prefer more generic looks than Super Detail. Would like to know if some in the community think they look ok. The Ambulance was originally in UK Ambulance colours. The Red Ambulance is in the games Ambulance vehicle slot and the Blue Ambulance I created an Addon Slot for.
Thanks to original Modders for including Templates in there vehicle downloads.

Steele1925 reacted to Nameless New Guy in A humble audio project.Sorry @Sam I set the tracks to private and used the wrong links 😞
Let's see if these will work 🙂
Male Cop Test
Female Cop Test
Thank you for your interest in this project. I look forward to knowing your thoughts and if there some audio that can be done. Depending on the success of this project and it's usefulness as a resource, I'd like to include more voices for officers, suspects, and citizens. But in the end just clean audio that can hopefully be used.

Steele1925 reacted to Sam in Why is the AI Cops combat ability shit?In the wise words of @LMS, if you have a bad config, sooner or later something is going to go wrong.
Coincidentally this was probably one of the number one complaints about 0.3, we toned it down for 0.4 as such.

Steele1925 reacted to Sam in LSPDFR 0.4.2 - Coming Soon!Hot off the release of LSPDFR 0.4 a couple of months ago, we're upping the ante with another update which brings not only sweeping improvements to the LSPDFR 0.4 API, but also some unique features which have long been requested.
Originally, the plan was merely to release 0.4.2 as a quick follow-up to 0.4 and 0.4.1 - just simple fixes and changes, plus the API improvements to help developers make the most of 0.4. Necessary changes, but not really cool enough, right? So, with that in mind we took a little time to dig back into the archives of LSPDFR and revisit some of our old concepts and ideas. Now, while some of these are actually in the mod - they're most likely either tucked away as 'easter eggs' or just disabled because they weren't quite right.
If you're a connoisseur of traffic stops, for example, you might've noticed that occasionally the unexpected and oh so demoralizing experience of pulling over a federal agent hits you right in the feels as they arrogantly flash their shiny badge, tell you where to stick your comparatively less shiny badge, and drive off. (If you haven't seen this before, here's a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNOxZR2ak0M)
Originally the plan was to add this as a feature for players to use, but it just didn't quite fit in with 0.3, and we had some trouble with the animation not being quite as fluid as we'd like. That was then, though, and given that you now play as your own character both on and off duty, we thought it'd be a bit of a must-have now, so we've tidied it up and are introducing it as a player action in 0.4.2.
With one quick glance at the shimmering shield, her problems are suddenly your problems. (Note, a custom badge model is shown instead of the default FIB one - you will be able to define custom models to use on a per-agency basis)
Now, not only does this look exceedingly awesome, but it serves a practical purpose too. Available both on and off-duty, showing your badge will clear any wanted level and may also instill the fear of the law in nearby citizens, potentially de-escalating the otherwise unavoidable confrontations that flare when you walk around Mirror Park without the latest iFruit phone, for example!
Of course, that's not all. Continuing with the idea of adding things that are just generally cool, we know that people have wanted a ballistic shield feature in LSPDFR for quite some time. Sure, you can spawn one with a trainer or download another mod, but it's just not quite the same is it?
We thought it'd be particularly sweet to have it at your fingertips instead, fully integrated with LSPDFR, ready to kick some butt.
As if being Frank Tenpenny isn't cool enough...
Our ballistic shield, accessed from the Interaction Menu, uses our new animation system in 0.4.2 which we think looks absolutely gorgeous. There's also the freedom to switch between Stealth and Action mode which will vary your pose accordingly, compatibility with most weapons and the potential for future AI support.
Oh yeah, did we mention you can actually arrest people at gunpoint while holding a freaking shield?!
Keep your eyes open for LSPDFR 0.4.2, coming soon.

Description:
This topic is going to explain how to put multiple sirens in GTA V and have them work with ELS. I will not be doing on without ELS as its pretty straight forward.
Hashtag List:
Siren Hashes (for Vehicles.txt
How to in steps:
Step 1: Find the sirens you want, keep in mind you can only have around 3-4 different sirens due to size limitation in vehicles.awc. (I use 4 consisting of a Highway patrol siren, Ambulance siren, Fire siren and the main siren.)
Step 2: Put the sirens into the vehicles.awc and expreiment with how many you can have with the limitation in mind. Also use the hashtag list to line it up with the audio string of what siren youre putting in. I also highly reccomend having this deadsilent mod that removes some audios that are useless. Dead air.zip
Step 3: Select the ELS vehicles you want and decide what siren you want to use with it corresponding to the hashtag list.
Step 4: Open the ELS/.xml file for the vehicle and scroll down to <SOUNDS> and select the tone that you are replacing e.g. <MainHorn> and look for where it says AudioString on that line. Now go onto the hashtag list and match it up to what the hashtag was e.g. (for the mainhorn if youre replacing the fire truck horn) VEHICLES_HORNS_FIRETRUCK_WARNING.
Step 5: Continue replacing the audiostrings while looking at the Hashtag and Audiostring list.
Step 6: Hop into game and see if it works, if it doesnt work then look at the files and make sure you did everything right, if you can't figure it out, comment on this topic for support.
Step 7: If you get it working have fun having multiple sirens while playing LSPDFR. 😀

Steele1925 reacted to Sam in Still waiting...No, our website is built on the principle that anyone can browse and download. We're not here to shut things off or stop people from downloading mods. This will never change.
People downloading mods is not the problem - it is the whole point of having a downloads section in the first place.

Steele1925 reacted to Albo1125 in AmbientSpawn Ped related crashThis crash occurred right after I ordered a suspect out of a vehicle on a traffic stop, but it seems to have been caused by the game attempting to spawn an ambient backup unit judging from the log. I did not request any backup units myself.
I have had a number of similar crash logs when teleporting to places on the map. There seems to be an issue with spawning a police ped for the backup unit. I do have custom peds installed in the default police ped slots, could that perhaps be something to do with it?

Steele1925 reacted to Sam in My thoughts on 0.4It isn't compatible for old game versions for the same reason that RPH isn't compatible for old game versions. It isn't some dastardly evil thing that we devised while sitting in a darkened room thinking of creative ways that we could mess with people. It is instead, a simple challenge of technical feasibility. We can't support old game versions because when the game version changes, literally everything about the game from a programming perspective also changes. It is the reason why everything breaks when the game updates. I hope you'll understand that from a technical perspective, LSPDFR is a very complicated piece of work. We do not simply choose not to support old game versions - it is a mere matter of feasibility and take it from me, it's not feasible.
Any problems that you have with a modded installation of the game are absolutely nothing to do with us. We make a mod for Grand Theft Auto V, not your altered beyond recognition copy of Grand Theft Auto V.
Anything else is a bonus.

Steele1925 reacted to Sam in LSPDFR 0.4 - Now AvailableFirst time playing 0.4? Check out our new getting started guide for LSPDFR 0.4: https://www.lcpdfr.com/wiki/lspdfr/04/getting-started/
About a year ago, we announced the development of LSPDFR 0.4. We said it was big, and we said it was different, but I honestly don't think any of us quite imagined just how big and different it would turn out to be, nor how much of a challenge it would be to take the concepts and ideas that we had and turn them into reality.
Still, here we are. Thousands of changes later, we're here. Everyone on the team is delighted to announce the first public release of LSPDFR 0.4, available now.
LSPDFR 0.4 brings sweeping changes which have been implemented over a number of years, so much so that we're not able to provide full release notes. Instead, we've put together a number of resources, new to LSPDFR 0.4, including a 'wiki' and a collection of more in-depth guides.
Note as well that because of this - the sheer number of things that have changed - there will be issues. We've put over two months into testing 0.4, and we've made hundreds of fixes in this time. Still, there's undoubtedly going to be things that we've missed, or things that simply can't be tested in a controlled environment. This is a big release, and we wanted to do right by all of you by getting it out as soon as we can.
With that being said, I'll shut up now and let the mod speak for itself.
LSPDFR 0.4 Page: https://www.lcpdfr.com/lspdfr
LSPDFR 0.4 Wiki: https://www.lcpdfr.com/wiki/lspdfr/04
Note that we strongly recommend installing LSPDFR 0.4 for the first time on a clean copy of Grand Theft Auto V with no other mods or plugins.
