  2. That's what i was referring to. I didn't mean to come off as rude or offensive, I was just trying to stand up for people that don't have good computers. Because I know what that's like, back a couple years ago I couldn't really run the game, but I still played it and took pride in what I could do. Nick
  3. Not everyone can afford a $1000+ computer, so please don't act like that.
  4. The only sad part is that we won't be able to play GTA IV in MP anymore. Or would we?
  5. Please don't try to start fights. Stay on topic and be respectful.
  6. I'm just going to drop in here. I usually don't like to get involved in debates, because I don't like arguing with people. I prefer to keep people happy, and respect them as would respect me. But in my honest opinion, practice makes perfect. If someone uploads a crappy texture or model, chances are that they will get better as time goes on. The first time you played a sport, you probably weren't very good. You didn't get better by watching videos, reading about it, etc.. You got better by HANDS ON experience. And the only way that can happen is by doing it. Watching tutorials, for example, will give you knowledge on some things, but not everything. You cannot expect a first time modeler to be on the skill level of EVI, KevinDV, Cj24, or some of the other top modders we have on here. Another problem is that some of these first time modders don't know the difference between constructive criticism and flaming. In my opinion, both parties are wrong. Right now, there are a lot of first time modders, which is expected on a growing website or community in general.
  7. MODERATOR NOTICE Topics merged Looks like it put the later post as the first post, my apologies.
  8. Those screenshots look amazing. I can't wait!
  9. My first car is a Crown Victoria LX Sport. I did want to get a Police Interceptor, but then I realized this: The Police beat the living shit out of them. In addition, I didn't want it to look too much like a cop car. My car came with Mercury Marauder rims, so that took care of that problem. If the CVPI has a rebuilt engine or tranny, then it's alright. But you have to remember, those cars idle 24/7, almost non-stop. The only time they probably get turned off is when they get maintenance or filled up with gas. All the heat that lingers in the engine, from running all day long, isn't good for any car. I personally think you could get something nicer. You could get a civilian model that has more options, leather seats, in addition, it wasn't beat to death by overly aggressive cops. My LX Sport is actually faster than a CVPI, because I upgraded several engine components on it with Mercury Marauder parts. Also, you'll probably get some good answers from these guys as well: http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php Just my advice, Nick
  10. I'd rather have them do the new Vapid: GTA IV's Vapid isn't in GTA V, instead they updated it with an appearance resembling a 1998-present Crown Victoria. So they wouldn't do that model in the first place. Also, GTA IV's Vapid is based on a design that originates back to 1992. It was okay back in 2008, but not in 2013. I highly doubt any police department would be using 21-23 year old vehicles. Even when GTA IV was released, that design was pushing it. But, while I was in South Carolina, I did see a 1995-1997 Crown Victoria Taxi still in service, most likely with a rebuilt engine, possibly having gone through multiple. But if you really like the car that much, you could do this: Get a 1994 Ford Crown Victoria. Swap in Mercury Gran Marquis headlights (since they're upside down like the Vapid). Get rid of the red line trim under the tail lights. Take off the Ford logos, and swap on Vapid logs (custom made by some garage or whatever, they can do almost anything if you pay them). Replace the grille with a custom, sectional grille. The Vapid's grille has no resemblance to any panther platform grille, so this may be difficult to do. Paint the rear panels black. Swap on a Vapid logo in silver cursive writing in the same area (right side). Swap on a 1998-present hood. Drop in a tuned 4.6 V8 from the Crown Victoria Police Interceptor, boasting 250 horsepower. Newer LX Sport engines offer 239 horsepower as well, but could far exceed that of the Police Interceptor with upgraded air intakes and more aggressive cams from the Mercury Marauder. Swapping in 3.27 rear axle assembly ratio may help off the line performance. Higher shift points can do amazing things. So this step helps create the Vapid's surprising performance. You've got yourself a Vapid Grand Victorian (that's probably what they would call the civilian model in my opinion). Anything is possible, but it comes down to how much money you're willing to spend. Nick
  11. @OP: Not that I'm saying you didn't search, but in most cases, stuff like this can be easily found by searching. You either didn't search correctly, or you didn't search at all. @Everyone else: There's no need to be rude about it. You could have kindly asked the OP if he did search, rather than accuse him straight off the bat. We also don't 5 people telling the OP to do the same thing. Thanks.

  14. That sounds pretty strange. Definitely unusual. By the way, how do you like my new signature? :D

  19. I personally think this game is going to be a fan favorite, just like GTA San Andreas. Without mods, it will keep us going for countless hours. With mods, the game would simply become a monster. The possibilities would be nearly endless if it comes to PC. I'm still looking forward to the Xbox edition, but the PC version will probably be great if it's ported correctly.
