  1. Thanks for the reply! I have a couple questions.. - What's the advantage to having a SSD? - You say you have a Ivy Bridge i5-3570k @ 4.2 GHz.. Is your computer in my price range? If so, do you have any gameplay videos I can check out? - If I don't buy Windows can you tell a difference/is there anything that you can't do by not buying it? - If I didn't buy Windows is there a way I can get Word, Excel, PowerPoint and etc. for free as well? - Do you recommend Windows 7 or 8? Thanks for your help! :D
  2. I was actually referring to the ones that were pre-built online on a list such as partpicker. Some people didn't include all the fans necessary. Alright, thanks man! I'll take a look at this!
  3. Hello guys! I haven't posted in awhile, but just to give you all a quick update - I still have not purchased a Gaming Computer due to the fact that I haven't found one that I really like/know a lot about. So once again I wanted to ask you guys for help! If you guys have any Pre-built computers or A list of everything needed to build one then let me know! My price range is currently around $700-$800. As you probably know, I'm not very familiar with building computers so if the list could include EVERYTHING (any fans needed, operating system, etc.) that is needed I would greatly appreciate it. (The reason I say everything is because someone sent me a really good list of parts that was around $800 but it didn't include some fans and the operating system which put it over my limit.) Thank you guys again for your help!
  4. Haha! Man, I bet criminals behave just so they don't have to ride back to the station in this thing.
  5. These are nice! :) But yeah, minus the fat guys, that vehicle is it :) OMG... LOL.... Very "sexy". ;)
  6. What if this officer posted these videos on Youtube?
  7. Hey guys! A recent question popped into my mind.. Can police officers record themselves pulling people over and patrolling with their own personal camera? I was just curious. Thanks Jake
  8. Well, then I don't know why this one added up to be more expensive to build then just buy. I am getting more familiar with parts recently but I probably wouldn't be able to build and install my own computer without some help.
  9. Thank you guys for your responses! Yes, almost everyone has recommended that I build my own gaming computer... but for example, on the newegg computer if you wanted to build one exactly like that but you wanted to build it yourself it would end up costing you WAY more than what newegg is charging. You have to think of the price of the operating system and fans and all the other gadgets you would need. I think when it added up it was a hundred or two dollars more to build it yourself. Anyways if you guys have any custom builds you would recommend I will definitely consider them. Thanks again for your help! Jake
  10. Hey guys! Any opinions on these two computers? I have already asked about the NewEgg iBuyPower Desktop Computer but I was curious as to which one is better for the price? **(One of them is on Craigslist!)** NewEgg iBuyPower Desktop: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227507 Craigslist iBuyPower Desktop: http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/sys/4596716061.html I know that the Craigslist one is probably better, but would you guys buy a used one like that? Thanks again for all of your help!
  11. OH! I thought he meant he's making one in real life. My apologies.
  12. Just curious, are you apart of a police force? I'm just curious because I didn't know if it was legal or not to make one of these if you weren't apart of a police force.
  13. This is sad. Like other people said above, why would they fly across that area if some military helicopters and planes were shot down just within the month. I'm not blaming anyone yet but what a coincidence... Malaysian Airlines again..?
  14. I figured a video might be easier to follow.
  15. Hey! Welcome to LCPDFR!
  16. Hey guys! I thought I would start a new topic in which you post your favorite police cars/trucks. (Some you would want to drive around if you were a police officer.) Feel free to post as many as you want! Some of mine: Texas State Trooper - Dodge Charger Twiggs Country Sheriff - Chevy Tahoe Yuma County Sheriff - Ford Raptor Maricopa County Sheriff - Dodge Charger
  17. First of all, Welcome! LCPDFR is indeed a free program but you most own a valid copy of GTA IV. A lot of people purchase this from the steam store. This video should really help you install LCPDFR and MODs. (Yes this is a tutorial for LCPDFR 0.95 but it should be similar to LCPDFR 1.0) Video Credit: SpeirsTheAmazingHD Enjoy LCPDFR! Jake
  18. What do you think of the computer that Altaf posted above? Thanks! Hey Pavelow! I hear where you are coming from... I'm not buying a gaming computer just to play LCPDFR. I'm considering buying one due to the speed in browsing websites and of course playing Steam Games or etc. on it. What do you think of Altaf's computer that he posted? Do you think I will be able to play other games on high settings aswell? Thanks again!
  19. Awesome, thanks for checking! Cool! Are you able to use ENB's and still have the FPS high?
  20. Thanks aCoD! I was just watching some of your Youtube videos and it seems like LCPDFR runs really smooth on your computer. I looked at your specs in the about me section. With these items that Altaf posted and the fans and etc. that you posted do you think it will run as smooth as yours? Thanks again!
  21. Hey ninja! Thanks for your reply! Do you have any recommendations on what CPU fan I get? I'm unsure on what will be compatible and if the fan will be powerful enough. I thought I saw that the case on that list came with a fan, but I may be wrong. If that one doesn't come with one do others do? Also, I'm unsure of what a thermal compound is. Is this something separate that I buy? Thanks again for your help! Jake
