  2. Ive always wanted a specific tutorial to explain the inner workings of the carvariations to me. Ive seen on youtube some generic tutorials--namely people throwing some numerical values around to get the car to spawn certain colors. I get the jist of that, I just don't know how that works in relation to police light bars and such. The whole rest of the file looks like gibberish to me. If you know of such a tutorial somewhere please sent it my way because I cant find it. Also thank you for the explanation of the rpf files, because I was doing it the stupid way, digging up each one and looking for its root spot. Such pains! :-)
  3. Hi, after sleeping on it and looking at the mod again with fresh eyes I had better luck deleting all of the cvpi_signs and importing the new ones. Only this time I had to individually change the pixel formats to DXT5 and mipmaps to 7 for each one. And doing so I was able to keep the textures at 4k resolution! Hope this helps for future inquiries also thank you for the mod
  4. In regards to the car not spawning in the game after using your textures, I have done both fixes. Ive resized all your textures to the recommended size AND Ive deleted the two extra livery slots for added precaution and the car still will NOT spawn. Do you have any recommendations? Thank you
  5. Firstly, I have no idea how to describe this problem that I am having as it is so bizarre. And it must be an issue with grand theft auto because it is the only game that is giving me this problem. It seems as though the mouse functions stick and freeze when I am trying to use them. One example is weapon selection. (Using all default button layouts), I hold tab to bring up the weapon wheel and I now want to cycle through a weapons slot which holds multiple weapons. The mouse wheel will scroll to only the next weapon in line and no more. My computer will then blurt out a series of bleep sounds through the speakers. This phenomenon also affects my shooting. While I am shooting and maybe strafing, my gun will either continue to shoot after I release the fire button, or it will not fire for a second when I do press it. And this behavior is consistent all the way through. I ran through all of the game options to see if there was an obvious option that I might have accidentally set and I couldnt find anything. It seems to be more of an issue with using multiple buttons at once. Its worth mentioning Ive been playing GTA on the PC since its release without incident so this is a new issue out of nowhere. As I said, it seems to be isolated to GTA because I tried other games and they all run flawlessly. And I tried to google this but I couldnt conjure a single sentence that appropriately and accurately described this issue. Any help is appreciated.

  8. Excellent mod, I look forward to using it although the cop holster mod will not work with EUP uniform, it only works with the original cops. The directions say either use the mod or edit the ini file, but there are no instructions on what to do to make the cop holster work within the ini. Perhaps the latest patch broke EUP?

  10. Hi, Does anybody know the exact location of the carvariations.meta which is used for the "police.yft and police.ytd" model? I ask because I have been using F5544's Crown Victoria with the Arjent and MX7000 light bar without incident for a while now; however I believe I accidentally replaced the carvariations this mod is dependent on while installing other mods. Now, instead of these two light bars working independently, the MX7000 acts as though it is the Arjent and creates abnormal meshes above the light bar when it is activated. It seems as there are many different carvariations.meta in many different locations in my directory and so far none of the ones I replaced fixed the lights. If anybody knows where the root file is located I would like to replace it with my backup original. Thanks
  11. Excellent model, i am using both the arjent and mx7000 together however the mx7000 light bar is exhibiting a glitch when it is activated. When the light bar is on abnormal mesh blocks appear above glass (possibly part of the arjent). Is there a specific carvariations file that this mod depends on? It is possible i could have accidentally replaced it when installing another mod and i just need the location of that file so i can replace it with the original. Thank you
  12. I thought I would share photos of one of my cars I'm currently working on. This one is a 1965 Olds Cutlass which I found for sale in a garage about six years ago. I took these photos last year in the summer time when I first got the chassis out from under the body. Last year I finished sanding the frame down and had a few bad spots welded and I got the primer and paint on it. Haven't done much since then except install new ladder bars and control arms and I got the body back down on the chassis and closed up shop for the winter. I'm anxious for spring so I can start working outside again. That being said Id like to see projects or hobbies anyone has working on whether its a car or shed or whatever it may be.

  16. If you had those available I would greatly appreciate it. They would add the perfect element to grand theft auto. A good enough mixture of realism to still fit into the san andreas universe.
  17. I have browsed and browsed for a pack of LSPD textures that is basically the original textures but without the stupid "obey and survive" decal but I cannot find one. If anyone knows where such a texture pack exists please tell me. It would be great if one existed to work with the bxbugs Ford Crown Victoria and Chevy Impala but Ill take what I can get. Thanks.
  18. Hello. Excellent mod, I have always loved the computer feature in gta iv. The mod loads as it is supposed to when the game starts; however I am having an issue with the game crashing after I pull over a suspect and run their name via your computer mod.   19. If you are still reviewing suggestions for the next LSPDFR update, I conjured up this idea using a combination of two independent mods. The Police Radio mod by DCP1293 which allows you to target a car by looking at it and then scan its license plate or mark it for a tow truck; and the Real Paramedics mod (author unavailable because gta5-mods is currently being blocked by my anitvirus) which sends the paramedics to actually revive fallen civilians with CPR instead of walking away. If you know where Im going with this, devise a script within the next LSPDFR which allows you to target a fallen officer by either standing over them or looking at them and use your radio and dispatch a paramedic to your location to resuscitate them!

  21. You say to replace the original awc file with the one you provided but OpeniIV will NOT let me replace it because they are different extensions. Yours is a .oac and rockstars is a .awc. Clicking and dragging has NEVER had an effect on my OpenIV. It simply doesnt work whether im installing a texture file or a sound file. I have to physically click each file and replace it by hand. So it renders me unable to replace the file with your sound file because they are different extensions. How do I fix this?
