  1. It’s a real shame the days of offline gaming are gone; I suppose installing a game with a cd-rom and being able to play it was just too easy. God forbid you find a patch you’re happy with or use mods that are no longer supported. To this day I have yet to be able to successfully download a single update from the Rockstar servers. Every single update I am forced to re-download the entire game from a friends account (which takes about an hour and a half—funny considering I’m how I am unable to “connect to the Rockstar servers” to simply update my own game) and Frankenstein together his version of the game with the one I have installed and hope it works. Knowing that I am unable to download anything from Rockstar, I was desperate to think of a way to avoid this major pain in the ass. So once Grand Theft Auto was finally updated and successfully logged onto my account, I created a unique exception in my firewall that blocks Grand Theft Auto from internet access, and just as an extra precaution I unplug the Ethernet cable from my computer. And for exactly two weeks the game runs like a dream—it launches in offline mode and keeps my mods safe and lets me play worry free. But God-for-fucking-bid, every two weeks, I launch the game in offline mode and the game prompts an error message saying I need to connect to the internet to authorize my game or it won’t let me play; unless I download the patch at 190KB/s for 8 hours which inevitably fails anyway, but where is the fun in that? I’ve relentlessly sought help from the so-called Rockstar support team to no avail—which is no surprise. And to top it off they refuse to give me a refund. If I had known Rockstar was this incompetent I wouldn’t have bought the game in the first place. What is it with this generation and their incessant need to be connected to the internet every minute of every hour? Like I said, it’s a shame the days of offline gaming are gone.
  2. In addition could you speed up the response time? When Im in the hood and I try to arrest someone, I get bombarded gang members shooting at me and the backup takes minutes to get there and by then ive already killed everyone in the area.
  3. I suppose the lieutenant system would be a little much, but money however would be a fine edition to the program
  4. Adding a money (or reward points) as a reward for successfully arresting suspects would undoubtedly extend the life of the mod as it will give the player a new goal to strive for as well as create a more immersive playing experience. It could put money in your pocket use the vending machine or the clerks in the 24/7 convenience stores. Maybe even buying cigarettes if that animation were to be unlocked later. On the other hand, career points could allow you to change your title from patrol man to lieutenant.
  5. It is debilitating how slow the cop model is. It is frustrating when you are a middle aged, physically fit cop and you get outrun by an old 300 lbs fatty. Its not even worth pursing a suspect that flees on foot because you will NOT catch him.
  6. Ive always wanted the same thing. I know it exists in the game because NPC flashlights stay on as well.
  7. Ages ago I recommended a civilian disperse function; a feature that--when pressed--activates a cop speech dialog instructing people to flee the area. The effect could imitate a gun shot, causing people to run away. Useful for an imminent vehicle explosion, for example. Also a simple resuscitation feature would be cool too in case you see someone get their ass kicked and they need revived. Because that's a dumb way to die even for grand theft auto. But I am confident whatever we get will be great!
  8. Hopefully the cops run a little faster this time around. Also it would be nice to see a resuscitate ability for fallen comrades and civilians.
  9. I cannot get the Medical Backup working. In any type of call.
  10. Hey you know what fellas, what I was acually thinking about was the "InGameTrainer" Not Simple Native Trainer. I thought it was just an early version of SNT. But I found it in my old downloads folder so Im happy now. Please disreard this post!
  11. All the time in a fire fight I have a car about to explode and a bunch of civies running and walking around it. I think a civilian disperse function, such as a speech command on the numpad would tell the people to run, and everyone in the area will flee and retreat. Civilians that is. Not the baddies. I think its a good idea.
  12. The title speaks for itself pretty much. I was able to get ELS mod v6 working pretty well and a trainer would help me so much, and make playing a much more enjoyable experience, but since I have to replace the scripthook I cant. I thought before I saw people do it in a video so Im not entirely sure. Can you use a trainer with this mod? I tried making a folder in the directory and add it in there to see if it did anything and it did not. Im running patch 1070 and I also have the latest LCPDFR. Any tips would be great, thanks.
  13. I dont know where else to post this, so I was just able to get LCPDFR 90F H2 working, I used the automatic installer and I have hotfix 3 and 5 holding it up. I have no idea how stable it is. But just to note a bug when I get a call on the radio, when I respond Yes, every time it is "Disregard incident is code 4"
  14. Yeah thanks Ill try it, but I accidentally didnt copy and paste all of the results. I updated my first post.
  15. Hello, I have just downloaded The newest LCPDFR and used the Automatic insall on a clean install of GTA IV with patch 1.0.7.0. I have tried both running as ADMIN and not, neither work. When I try to start it 1 of 2 things will happen. It will say at the top of the screen "Error in Startup script" And not play, or It will say "Welcome to LCPDFR ect" And behind it say "Error in start up script" And the whole game will freeze. I downloaded the recomended files because I read that it will not work with most current. (Im pretty sure I did) So I ran the diagnostics test and here are my results. Also I have tried "hotfix" and the patches they made already for this mod, and none of them work. Im not used to GTA IV mods so I could have very well made a mistake, but I have no way of knowing because im not familiar with it -- BEGIN *SIGNED* LCPD First Response Issue Report Diagnostics Tool Version: 0.4.3 Operating system: Windows7 Unknown (6.1.0.0 Build: 7600) Service Pack: System RAM (GB): 3 CPU cores: 4 NET Framework 4.0 installed: True Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable installed: True GTA IV - Installed: True GTA IV - Install folder: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV GTA IV - Version: 1, 0, 7, 0 GTA IV - Asi loader installed: True GTA IV - Asi loader: XLiveLess GTA IV - Asi loader valid: True GTA IV - C++ ScriptHook installed: True GTA IV - C++ ScriptHook valid: True GTA IV - C++ ScriptHook version: 0, 5, 1, 0 GTA IV - ScriptHookDotNet installed: True GTA IV - ScriptHookDotNet valid: True ===============BEGIN .NET SCRIPTHOOK LOG=============== 2010-12-14 22:44:34 - Initializing ScriptHookDotNet v1.7.1.4 BETA (GTA IV version 1.0.7.0) 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - Direct3D device created! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - SEARCHING FOR SCRIPTS... 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - Loading scripts in Assembly 'scripts\FirstResponse.net.dll' ... 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.DeletionList'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.Hardcore'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.LCMD.Main'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.LCMD.Functions'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.LCPD.Arrest'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.LCPD.Backup'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.LCPD.Carboot'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.LCPD.Chase'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.LCPD.Disarm'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.LCPD.Frisk'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.LCPD.PullOver'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.LCPD.Actions'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.Callouts'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.LCPD.Debug'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.LCPD.Flashlight'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.LCPD.Functions'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.LCPD.Partner'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.LCPD.inputSimulator'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.LCPD.Start'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.TextDraw'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.LCPD.Various'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.Main.EmergencyLights'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'FirstResponse.Main.Start'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - ...found script 'CSharp.LCPD.Keybindings'! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - DONE! 24 valid scripts found! 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - STARTING SCRIPTS... 2010-12-14 22:45:32 - Error during GetPhoneNumber (Phone checks will be disabled): System.Exception: Accessing Globals failed!
