So, I think I need help. I attempted to play the mod and it didn't go well. Attempt 1: Script crashed after (possibly, could have been LCPDFR, but I didn't notice anymore after the script crashed.) creating 5 car wash internals in the middle of the street with the first safe house. Drove to North Alogonquin firehouse, and reloaded scripts. I was on the marker, and I got a loading screen and game crashed. Attempt 2: Went on duty, drive to fire station (North algonquin). Went into the checkmark. Got a loading screen. Was presented with the vehicles I can choose (Battalian, Rescue, and Truck). I chose truck. I was presented with another loading screen. I then heard a car crashing sound, and saw my fire truck for a split second. Game went back to a loading screen. Heard the same car crashing noise again, and the whole thing just kept repeating itself. I killed the game after several repeats of this. Attempt 3: I thought to myself, I'll try the quick method. Went on duty, hit C to select fire station. Select south algonquin. Got a loading screen and game crashed. Attempt 4: Maybe just the south algonquin is broken. Went on duty and hit C. Selected north algonquin as my destination. Was presented with the same car selection screen. I selected the truck again. Finally! It says I'm on duty and can go ahead. At this point, I'm 5 feet away from this truck. I try to run over to the truck, but after taking two steps towards it, I get a "You're now off duty." message, and skin was changed back to Nico. Bloody hell. Tried to go back on duty and the game crashed. Anyone have any suggestions? What am I doing wrong here? Please let me know what I can do to be more descriptive/get this fixed. -Scy

I'm running it through Steam. I don't think admin right would be necessary as it's an intermittent issue, which appears randomly. I'd figure if it was an admin rights issue, it would either work or wouldn't.

I've just installed a new copy of GTA 4, and modded it slightly. I've only installed a few cars, Simple Native Trainer, and ELS. The game is fairly unstable. I can only play for max 10 mins before it will crash. Random events seem to trigger it, but I'm pretty sure LCPDFR is causing it. I'll be attaching all the necessary logs as well as a few of my own that make me think this. Any advice would be appreciated. The eventlog.txt is multiple crashes I've found in event viewer. The crashes occured randomly. At one point I was driving, at another point I was in a pursuit and just hit another vehicle.

We use ZModeler for vehicles because it's the only thing that can actually export in .wft format. Atleast, that's why we used it back when I worked on cars.

When you export, is it giving you an error like "lolcar.wft is not found, exporting whole scene."? If it is, that's your problem. Make sure your .wft in the hierachy is the same name as what you export it as. If that's not the issue, then what Ceril said is right. The center of gravity is off on the car.

I've made a dodge charger with a Freedom (not an accurate representation, as PBSO doesn't actually use non-slicktop charges) and an impala, that probably isn't the greatest representation of PBSO cars either. I've not worked on either of those projects in a long long time, either. If I could get my hands on a Tahoe I'd make a PBSO tahoe..or if I had the knowledge, I'd convert my own f-150 and make a PBSO version.

They do use Whelen Edges, yes. Most of them have Whelen Edge ULTRA Freedoms, but a few Edge's do exist. I've created two PBSO cars. or when you import it, change the perferable texture to dds...lol

Just make copies of them and attach the copies to the extra you want it to flash with, that simple.

Don't do what other people would like, atleast whilst you're learning. Do what you want to do until you're good. I mapped that speedo because I wanted to learn how to map/make a template. Not because other people wanted a speedo. I'm glad to see that it atleast had a little bit of interest, but I still did it for me. not for anyone else.

Take a look at these. I made a skin for the tahoe, and I think Tricksta005 made a PBSO skin for the f150, but the rest of the cars I edited for myself :)
