Hostage Situation In Australia
I disagree that ISIS does not represent Islam. I don't know anyone who could provide 3 solid examples of how Islam has significantly helped the world. The Qu'ran tells Muslims to kill those who go against the "peaceful" teachings of Allah, and those who do evil and attack them. To Muslims, the developed world (USA, UK, CA, etc) are evil, go against the teachings of Allah, and "attack" them. This is why we have so many issues with Islamic extremists and terrorism, because they are out to kill us. It's what their holy book teaches, and it's what they believe in. This would also explain why the Bible has similar teachings, but Christians aren't running up and down the street shooting people, beheading people, hanging and burning people, stealing school girls, lining up innocent civilians and murdering them on the side of the road in a 3rd world country, etc. Because the developed world was built on Christianity and raised on Christianity. "God save the queen", "...One nation, under God...", "God bless South Africa", "God keep our land glorious and free..." etc.

I'd say so, yes. Seems like a lot of members are just simply posting less throughout the entire forum.

Hostage Situation In Australia
And to most Muslims in the middle-east, these "oppressors" and "terrorists" who "attack" them are the western developed world. Muslims feel that the developed world is a sinful and evil world, and they feel the need to terrorize us because of this. I've talked to Muslims who agree the Qu'ran strictly tells Muslims to kill and terrorize those who go against the teachings of Allah, and those who do evil; Which they believe the west is evil. I have no problem with ethnicity, nationality, race, skin color, sex, nothing. I don't care if you're a White woman or a Black man. Doesn't matter, we are all human. What starts to bother me, is when religion teaches hate and terrorism for the sake of their own "safety" and well-being. People constantly use political correctness and religion as a blunt excuse to cover up the hateful actions of a group of people. Islam has yet to do the world any good on a significant level, and Islam is on every continent. Look at Afganistan and Iraq, look at Nigeria and Somalia. Look at Australia now, look at 9/11. These people are out to kill us, and political correctness and "non-stereotypical" philosophy are covering their tracks.

Hostage Situation In Australia
Yet another issue involving Islam. By Matt Siegel SYDNEY (Reuters) - Dozens of hostages were trapped inside a central Sydney cafe on Monday, with local television showing some being forced to hold up a black flag with white Arabic writing in the window, raising fears of an attack linked to Islamic militants. Prime Minister Tony Abbott, who has warned of militant plans to attack Australian targets, said he was convening a meeting of the cabinet's national security committee for a briefing on the hostage situation at the Lindt Cafe in the country's commercial capital. Great idea, but this would be very entertaining to watch.

The CIA and the interrogation methods
Can you provide some examples or sources that state American politicians keep their promises? I think we can both agree that the vast majority of the American population don't like our politicians. Try asking someone on the street if they favor our politicians. I consistently get negative responses. This is what I'm trying to say.

1st Female Firefighter killed in line of Duty in Philly
Not much to say here other than the typical, "Oh, what a tragedy", "What a shame, condolences to her family", etc. This is sad, and that's all to it. May she rest in peace and her family live their lives in harmony. I don't see this as some sort of achievement that should make international headlines.

The CIA and the interrogation methods
The American people tend to separate themselves from the American government. I have yet to meet someone here in the United States that can say "I love our government and I feel that they make the right decisions" without laughing or walking away. According to Yahoo News, In our last mid-term election, only 63% of Americans participated in the voting, why some may ask? Because Americans are tired of the bull shit, hate to put it in such blunt terms. We vote people into office, and they don't do what they said they would do. It's all the same each election and the American people don't care anymore.

War on terror
Even with all of these observations, in which most of them are irrelevant, this doesn't prove that 9/11 was an inside job. You still have yet to provide any links, and sources, any evidence, any witnesses, nothing. ALl you do is list out random facts that haven't been proven, and claim that they're on some sort of video footage or news report. I'd like to physically see these videos and news reports.

$25 million Batmobile of the high seas
At first glance, one might surmise that the photo above photo at the link below is the latest Batmobile that Ben Affleck will be chasing the bad guys in during the next “Batman” movie. Sleek, futuristic, fast. It is indeed sleek, futuristic and fast (or at least it looks fast), but it is not a car. Rather, it is a very expensive yacht, one that we could actually envision James Bond tooling around in. The Xhibitionist is a $25 million, 246-foot megayacht designed by Sweden-based Eduard Gray that Gray Design describes as “Batmobile-esque.” Some are calling it the Batmobile of the high seas, though it’s definitely 007-ish, too. “A common first reaction, it has to be said, is just that…‘it looks like a car,’” the Gray Design website says. “Indeed, Batman has been mentioned a few times, too.” http://www.grindtv.com/outdoor/outposts/post/xhibitionist-batmobile-high-seas/

War on terror
It's very frustrating when the individual you're attempting to debate with takes everything in a very literal sense, without the use of critical thinking. The plane was headed directly towards the White House, which is why I said they barely missed killing the President. What if the President had been in the White House? What if the crew on the plane weren't as confident to revolt?

War on terror
After the 9/11 attacks the American population was devastated and pissed. We lost 3,000 innocent people in the blink of an eye, and no one could do a thing about it. The United States isn't responsible for initiating chaos in the middle east, Islam is. Also, it's kind of hard to overreact when 3,000 civilians are killed in a single day on their own land; in a developed country; and the terrorists barely missed their target of taking out the president and our entire military leadership team..

War on terror
Just the US trying to be the "Hero of the World" again. Wish we'd stop sending our troops to death over something that shouldn't concern us any longer.

War on terror
People seem to constantly underestimate the power of the United States. It's been a while since the United States was in a total-war state. When the US is pissed, things get real ugly real fast. And when I say total-war, I mean all money is going to the war funds, all men are signing up in the military, massive troop deployments, air raids, nuclear weapons at the ready, deployment of an entire fleet of ships, etc.

War on terror
I've heard things about verses in the Qu'ran specifically telling Muslims to kill anyone who isn't Muslim, and to spread terror throughout the non-believers. Not sure if this is true though.
