A video gamer in Taiwan has died after a three-day gaming binge, the country’s second “sudden death” involving an Internet café customer this year. The 32-year old man was found dead in the city of Kaohsiung, the Taipei Timesreports. The man, identified only by his surname, Hsieh, had been playing combat computer games for three days. Staff at the Internet café initially thought that the man, who suffered cardiac failure, was sleeping. “Hsieh was a regular customer here and always played for consecutive days. When tired, he would sleep face-down on the table or doze off slumped in his chair,” an Internet café attendant told reporters. “That is why we were not aware of his condition in the beginning.” Details of the death, which occurred in the Hunai district of Kaohsiung earlier this month, were released last week. The incident was ruled a “sudden death” from prolonged computer gaming. A police official said that cold temperatures and exhaustion from intense game-playing could have contributed to Hsei’s cardiac failure. Police are stepping up patrols of Internet cafes, warning gamers of the dangers of prolonged gaming. “We advise people to get up and move around after every two hours of computer gaming,” said the official. Branching off of what Pavelow said, he is absolutely correct. Taking the easiest route towards a job won't get you far. You need to stand out, which is why I said military reserves would help you big time. Having military service prier to becoming a Police officer greatly increases your chances. If you are serious about becoming an officer, I recommend you seriously look into doing military reserves or going to college. If you've got nothing to present on the table, they will skip over you.

Something you can always consider is going into the military reserves. One weekend out of the month, two weekends out of the year I believe. You get a monthly check coming in for your service, plus it looks great on a resumé. You're more likely to get hired for any job with military service than the average person.

I agree. The US should pull it's troops out of Germany, Japan, Korea, Iraq, Poland, and Afghanistan. We should also recall our entire fleet back to the United States, and demolish any bases overseas. See how long it would take for chaos to occur. Doesn't matter what country your from, no country wants the US on it's ass. No offense to anyone French, but I'm sure D-Day still would have been entirely successful even without the French resistance. It wasn't just the US that operated on D-Day, it was a coalition. No, the US got involved because Japan fucked up Pearl Harbor. The US didn't want to get into the war to begin with, and if it wasn't for Pearl Harbor I doubt the US would have gotten involved at all. Oh, I always thought it would look something like this:

North Korea was less of a joke then than it is now. Plus, it wasn't just US vs NK, if I'm not mistaken the war occurred during or just after the cold war, and the USSR supported NK. The main reason the US hasn't blown NK off the face of the Earth is because of China. There are a ton of other reasons, but that's probably the biggest reason.

I can only imagine what the North Korean people are going through, a life without any pornography? What's a life worth living at that point. On a more serious note, North Korea is a complete joke. Just about any developed nation would wipe North Korea dry if it were a "One on One" war.

Well first I want to address what I've bolded, because I think it's quite funny. Sitting here on a forum about a policing mod for GTA 4 and debating gay marriage is a huge waste of time actually, but why do we do it and why do we care? Talking to complete strangers that we don't know across the internet is a huge waste of time, because in a matter of time you won't ever see them again, but why do we do it? I debate because I am interested in hearing the opposing party. I am interested in hearing what the "other side" has to say on the issue. I'm willing to be open-minded on a heated discussion, and a lot of people don't get that here.

I didn't say that I don't give a fuck for the sake of just not giving one. I said that I don't give a fuck if you dislike my opinion, because the purpose of an opinion isn't for popularity.

Well I wouldn't say that we aren't mature enough, I'd say that we can't seem to discuss a political issue without people getting defensive, close-minded, and angry at the fact that not everyone shares their opinion. This is especially true when it's a heated topic like homosexuality, gun ownership, or something along those lines. Though I do agree that the politics board is usually chaos, very entertaining chaos at that lol.

I will not participate in this debate because debating on this forum usually accomplishes nothing from past experiences, but I will say that you are not alone on what you've stated.
