Hey! So, I was browsing down the internet and I realized that I want a LAPD detective ped. So, I googled a lot and found a really nice pack. however only a picture of it. If anyone have a link or know the author etc please tell me. I'd really like this pack. I believe it's a LAPD/LSPD pack.

This might sound stupid or something like that, but I'm dissapointed with the emergenc vehicles overall. The fire engine, police cars, ambulance etc.... I do like the loghts, but they could had made it better, or look more like they do in reality. Don't know if that's anyone else's opinion, but that's mine :)

So, a quick sumary Sheriff's Department/Office - Democratically elected Sheriff - Have deputies, not officers - In charge of the county, not just restricted to city limits - Often the one's protecting courts - Often the one's who take care of the county jail Police Department - Not democratically elected chief of police - Their police officer's are restricted within the city limits - They have police officers, not deputies That's just a quick summary, however there are some places where both the police department and sheriff's department/office also patrol, E.G. In LA. There's LAPD & LASD who patrol the city. But a sheriff department/office can also have contract cities, in other words they do not have their own police, so they pay the sheriff's department/office to patrol within the city limits.

Yup, I've tried a bunch of different sirens and none of them seems to work. As of now I have a Swedish police sire and that's the only one I can change to. It's weird since I haven't had this issue before I made Steam patch my GTA IV to the default settings and what not.

You won't just try and apply, but you WILL become a LEO soon enough. Keep us updated

Hey! I've never had this problem before. I've changed the siren multiple times before. So, I had to use my back up files for GTA IV, and I started to install everything I wanted back. The only problem is that the siren just won't work. It's the default siren and I just can't change it. I've tried with both SparkIV & OpenIV (Not sure if it actually works with OpenIV) but whenever I'm ingame I just keep getting the default siren. When I go into SparkIV to listen to the sirens (click on the horns.INVAUD) and there's the siren I'd like. Everything seems to be good, until I go ingame and get the default siren. Please help me, I hate the default siren and really wants the siren to work. P.S. This siren has worked before, not sure what's going on with my GTA IV... Thanks for any helpfull replies! Edit: Hahaha! I feel so stupid, I think that I should go and shoot myself or something. I forgot to, instead of going in my SparkIV and pressing "resident.rpf", I just instantly changed the "horns.IVAUD". Anyways, you can close this topic, thanks for the support though :)

Do you hve GFWL (Games for Windows Live)? That's what I had to do to make it work.

That's nice of them. Reminds me of when San Francisco became Gotham for a day. And a kid with cancer had to stop some criminals as Batman, was awesome.
