  1. With the latest updates to both OpenIV and now ZModeler, it is finally possible to create a range of vehicle modifications for Grand Theft Auto V. Here at LCPDFR.com, We've been busy working on ways to support this exciting development, and have started work on a number of initiatives and resources to help both developers and people who just want to introduce a fleet of cool new cars to their games. The new Grand Theft Auto V Development Resources page includes some basic information to get anyone up to speed with the latest developments in vehicle modifications for GTA V. We've also included links to a number of topics, and a live feed of the latest vehicle modifications available. This page is actually a temporary placeholder, and only a preview of a much more in-depth hub which is being developed. Secondly, we're also changing the way that we approach modifications in general on LCPDFR.com, by taking a more proactive stance in shaping attitudes and approaches to vehicle modding. As part of this, we're encouraging the use of standardized vehicle templates for those who re-map the default police vehicles in the game to support custom paintjobs. Finally, significant development work is also ongoing with the aim of simplifying and enhancing our Downloads page. We're very much aware of the problems with the current Downloads software, and will be replacing large parts of it, particularly as it relates to the index and category viewing, with a much easier to navigate custom solution. Additionally, we'll be employing powerful filtering to make finding mods easier than ever before.
  2. It would certainly be nice if people would do this. I also suspect that if Lt.Caine makes any vehicle modifications for GTA V, he will likely produce models with uniform templates which can then be used as well.
  3. Only a small snapshot of the dedication that putting together the first couple of versions of LSPDFR required.
  4. When your Steam page showing hours played for it looks like this!
  5. Sam posted a guideline in Community Guidelines
File Guidelines Every part and contribution must be properly credited, and may only be used with permission granted by the author before upload. For car mods, this includes: Origin of original vehicle: Original game, and those who helped convert it. Texture creator(s). Credits for every single part (rims, computer, centre console, lightbars, lights, spotlights, antennas, etc). Descriptions must only advertise features and content present in the uploaded file. Authors using AI tools to support development or the creation of modifications must verify that all advertised features actually exist within the mod. Credits should be entirely complete. "Unknown" authors are not permitted. Credits should be posted in the "Credits" area of the upload page. If you have a text file with full credits, these should be copied to that area. "Credits included" or similar text is not sufficient. File updates must be published as updates, not brand new submissions. At least one in-game or OpenIV screenshot is required. For texture, car or ped packs, every vehicle, skin or ped must be shown in the screenshots. However, if there's one valid screenshot plus a detailed video in the description showing every component, that's generally okay. The main screenshot on any file should always depict the mod itself. Real-world images, while not prohibited if in game shots accompany them, should not be the main image. Do not upload packs containing mods not created or edited by yourself. Do not upload improper file types in the wrong categories (no weapons in vehicle models, etc.). If uploading a pack of files you made yourself, create separate submissions for each type (vehicles, weapons, etc.). When uploading texture submissions, do not include the model that they are made for (only a link instead), and include only the raw texture (in png, bmp, jpg, etc. format). Do not upload wtd or ytd files. Do not upload executable files, unless absolutely necessary. For example, you should never use a self-extracting .exe archive, or an installer, for Vehicle Models and Vehicle Textures. OIV files are okay. We typically do not permit launchers or standalone executables unless the security risk is clearly justified. Before uploading any such files, please obtain approval from management. Note that the criteria for approval are strict. Do not upload on behalf of another person -- work you upload must be contributed to in some way by yourself. If you used AI as part of your modification, you must disclosure it using the AI disclosure options. There are separate options for description, images and mod content. More information can be found here. Reviews must contain a valid review text (No "1 star" comments and so fourth). Reviews may only be made after you have downloaded and used the file. File reviews should relate directly to the item at hand. Comments written as reviews, and off topic posts, will be removed from the Reviews section of files. Do not just upload text files with a link to the file elsewhere, without prior agreement from LCPDFR.com Management. Files must be uploaded to LCPDFR.com, and cannot be simply text file links to off-site content. Contact @Cyan if your file exceeds the maximum file size, or you're having issues uploading your file. We can now increase the limit to 4GB on a per-account basis if this is needed. The following are forbidden from being uploaded to or shared on our network: Files and tools which we deem to be malicious in nature, such as spyware, adware, viruses and other inappropriate content. Game modifications or other files which interfere with or otherwise adversely affect the game or the playing experience for yourself or others. Any other content which we deem poses a threat or risk to our services, members or communities. A reminder: Our advertising guidelines We've clarified our policy on advertising on files. You can see this on the Wiki page here. Please also note that file comments are not exempt from our advertising rules either. This does not mean that you cannot ask people to reach out to you directly or through Discord for specific or complex problems, but if the answer is as long as your Discord link, you might as well post it directly. File Listings On occasion, files may be delisted if we do not think they are intended for a general audience. This can include, for example: In-jokes only relevant to a small population (e.g. a Discord server specific joke, fringe political jokes, a joke intended for another member). Files which have excessive implied profanity or implied sexual content which does not otherwise violate the Community Guidelines. April fool's content in good jest, e.g. submissions which are something else than their description applies but with no malicious intent. (we may for example delist the file post April 1st) Description/screenshots which are on the border of NSFW, for example, particularly revealing anime which is not hentai but suggestive. Delisted files will continue to be hosted and available via their direct link, but will not appear on the site via recommends, in categories, in search or in activity feeds. A file being delisted does not penalise the submitter in any way.
  6. Gallery Guidelines Don't use the GTA IV or GTA V Categories to upload images not taken directly from GTA IV or GTA V, respectively. Images may not be edited in a way that detracts from the in-game content, but edits that enhance the in-game content is fine. For example, editing in a news overlay is fine, but editing in Darth Vader fighting on an in-game CVPI is not. Renders/ZMod screenshots may not be posted in our gallery (use forum threads instead for showcasing WIP projects). Don't use the Gallery to advertise your YouTube accounts or websites. Don't use the Gallery to direct users to download modifications from other websites. Real world images are strictly prohibited. Showing off models you have no intention of ever releasing on LCPDFR.com is prohibited. Images may be removed if they are uploaded repeatedly or if they otherwise spam/clutter the site. Images may not spam the gallery. The random gallery can be used for any game except GTA IV / GTA V.
  7. Site Wide Guidelines Don't be abusive or discriminatory No trolling Don't post porn, nudity (partial, full, or censored), or be overly profane Only post things that contribute to the discussion at hand Do not involve money in requests - we cannot guarantee the validity of transactions and our site is not for you or others to make money from, outside of the donation function. Asking for reputation is not allowed Refrain from posting short replies such as "lol", "+1", "cool", etc. Keep the site tidy - use spoilers for logs, attach images only when needed, don't deviate from the standard font unless necessary Don't bump your threads or reply to threads older than 30 days (unless they're pinned) Do not add images to posts unless those images positively contribute to the discussion at hand No advertising of external communities or discussions/rants/drama regarding them (advertising is only permissible on your profile and signature) Don't post or share stolen mods Report all potentially infringing content - do not attempt to address it publicly Don't make or use multiple accounts Do not conduct any form of piracy (uploading original game files, sharing cracks and so on). Do not obstruct moderator investigations or otherwise interfere with the operation of the site. This includes telling other members what to do. Impersonation of any staff member is prohibited All content is subject to moderation when necessary. Content can potentially be removed at any time for any reason. Do not send members PMs asking for support. We have the forums for a reason. If you have reported something and noticed that nothing has been done about it, think about what you are reporting. It may not have been in violation of the Guidelines. Feel free to message a moderator and inquire about the report. Do not file another report. These guidelines are an easy to read abbreviation of our full Terms. They are not a substitute.
  8. Under no circumstances do you miss out on features. There will of course be different backup options added as the modification grows over time, including medical/fire, etc.. It was important to get the initial balance right though, and we perhaps didn't do that so well with the first release, which is why 0.2b very much catered to those that like to role play. You do have to understand that LSPDFR is such a new thing. Four months after the release of GTA IV on PC, there wasn't even a police mod. Four months after the release of V on PC, you have one that many people say is actually better than the one that was developed for over five years for IV. The NOOSE SWAT teams should be pretty efficient at returning fire from their car. I liken them to a helicopter gunship on wheels when I see them in action.
  9. It's definitely something that's on our list.
  10. Yeah, I know that. I just think it shouldn't reach that point in the first place.
  11. Oh, please. Why is anyone even still bothering to offer a defence for this guy's actions? He approached the car from the passenger's side at first - this clearly put him out of the way of traffic. No reason why he couldn't have done so again when approaching for the second time. I think we've clarified that nothing he did was illegal, but it is becoming widely accepted that this was still an extremely poor display of policing. A cop should never meaninglessly escalate the situation, and he did just that. Claiming that she was ordered out of the car for anything other than as a stupid emotional reaction to the refusal to stop smoking is about as credible as the theories flying around surrounding her death. I really don't get why people are still arguing about her death. You cannot reasonably expect to be able to prevent every suicide in jail. I think the more pressing issue is the fact that this stop was allowed to escalate to the point where she got taken to jail in the first place, and then also the trooper's blatant lies during his conversation with the supervisor.
  12. We try to cater for more than just one type of person with LSPDFR. With 0.2b, we added a massive amount of content in the space of a couple of weeks which was aimed primarily at people who like to take a more serious/RP style approach. Similarly, there's a bunch of stuff for people that play LSPDFR more casually. You might not realise it, but there are lots who enjoy driving around in police cars and blowing things up under the colour of authority. One of the cool things about a game like GTA is the freedom that it offers to players, and we include a number of different things in LSPDFR for that reason.
  13. Obviously it is something that will be making a return. Just, we have to make our own AI for it so they actually can save people.
  14. No... It is a 1.4GB download! We will hopefully find a much nicer way to do this through code.
  15. It just surprises me there's no proper regulation of law enforcement in the US. In most other countries around the world, police within that country are federally regulated, meaning that the same standards apply everywhere and some sort of body has the power to step in and take action. It seems that departments in the US, especially larger ones, can just get away with investigating themselves when something goes wrong. Apparently it takes what happened in Ferguson, including nights of multiple riots where you have live pictures being beamed from a US city, which, if they were missing the fancy news graphics, you'd be perfectly reasonable in thinking were coming from a third world country, for the federal government to even hint that they might get involved. I think that the FBI and the DOJ should do more to enforce standards and investigate incidents. It all seems really cloudy when things like this remain contained to the city, county or state in which the incident took place. The common thing then seems to be that everyone knows everybody, from the states/districts attorney to the mayors and politicians to the officers and supervisors themselves.
  16. This topic isn't about private police forces. Stay on subject.
  17. Yeah, you're not wrong. She did herself absolutely no favours, but even still. I think this officer was poorly trained to deal with the situation like that. I believe he has since been suspended for "violations of the department's traffic stop policy".
  18. I don't get how you can defend the cop on this one. It can't be just a coincidence that she's ordered out of the car immediately after saying no to being asked to stub out the cigarette. He even says "well, you can step on out now" which, to me at least, heavily implies that's a direct response to her refusal. The cop also clearly doesn't know the law, you can hear when he's on the phone giving his account of the incident (which seems greatly exaggerated), that anyone he pulls over is "technically under arrest". This is blatantly wrong, a traffic stop is a brief detention, not an arrest. His attempts at de-esclating the situation are pathetic as well. "I tried to de-escalate her, it wasn't getting anywhere at all. I'm trying to put the taser away" "I'm trying to get her detained, you know, I tried talking to her, just calm her down. Get her to calm down.." He says as well his reason for getting her out of the car was "I was trying to get her out over to the side and just explain to her what was going on. I couldn't even get to do what I was telling her... She just started going this is an MF... I just stepped back to the car and was like "Are you done ma'am, I'm gonna tell you why and what I'm giving you". Actually pretty horribly inconsistent with what happened. The rest of the video is actually pretty important. His version of events is seriously exaggerated. She's not helping any, but he's taking entirely the wrong approach.
  19. Okay, you know what, its time for you to take a break from this topic ODonnell. You have this amazing ability to consistently deliver your spiel about private police forces despite it being completely irrelevant to the topic at hand. Kinda looks to me like the cop was totally wrong here. He asked her to put out the cigarette, she refused. Looks like he got pissed by this refusal and did some "step out of the car" power play. I can't see any other reason as to why he's ordered her out of the car, and everything seems to point to it being simply an angry reaction. No idea what he's talking about when he says he tried to calm her down and de-escalate the situation either? If that's his idea of de-escalation, he needs to go back to the academy, asap.
  20. Come on guys, I feel like next someone is going to say a pack of UFOs with blue and red lights came and started shooting people down with laser cannons. Unfortunately the video doesn't show the full arrest. I wouldn't be surprised if it got a bit heavy handed, and I wouldn't be surprised if some of the force used wasn't exactly justified either. The fact must surely be that there's a much higher chance of there being something wrong with her arrest than with her being found dead in a jail. It is extremely far fetched to suggest that she was murdered by police while inside a jail cell. My guess is she somehow provoked the cop, eventually resulting in her being ordered out of the car. She then probably wouldn't get out or something, so she was, perhaps quite forcibly, made to get out. I know one thing for sure though, trying to guess why someone killed themselves is futile. You can't apply rational logic to that sort of thing. "Why would she do that, she was getting out the next day." Yeah, that's rational thought. Turns out when people kill themselves, chances are they're not thinking very rationally.
  21. We just included the new version of RPH which works with the latest version of the game.
  22. No, it is not a new LSPDFR. It was just updated to include the new RPH.
  23. Try running in Windowed Borderless mode. Select it in your graphics options.
  24. These sorts of topics never really end well, do they now? @NYPDDetectiveODonnell, I think at this point, everyone knows you're a felon that wants to become a cop. Perhaps sooner or later, you're just going to have to face up to the reality that this won't happen. I'm not saying I agree with it, but it is what it is - the last thing any department wants to do, especially in the current climate, is hire a felon. I don't think the fact that you start arguing with people on the internet is helping much either, to be honest. I'm going to lock this 1. because we've seen time and time again the sort of mess that your topics descend into, and 2. it is well on its way there.
