No, you won't lose your save data... And even if you did, you can just use the trainer to select a mission.

I have no idea. Just giving a computer name won't really help, and I personally don't like Alienware for various reasons. But by all means, go ahead and try! :)

I don't think you need ELS, it's not that important :P

I think the card craftiegamer linked will do. I just know that you need a better setup than the one you currently have. GTA IV is a very demanding game.

You were supposed to copy Disc2, since that was the problematic disc, right?
When you insert Disc1, the GTA IV installation will eventually ask for the location of Disc2, select the folder that you just created instead of the actual disc 2.

    No problem.
    1. Go to "Computer"
    2. Find the GTA IV disc and right click it. Select Open (Do not select run, start or anything like that).
    3. You should now be in the disc and viewing the contents.
    4. Press Ctrl+A followed by Ctrl+C
    5. Create a new folder somewhere on your computer, like the desktop.
    6. Open that folder and press Ctrl+V
    7. Let the files be copied.

When the GTA IV installation asks for the location for Disc2, select the folder that you just created instead of the actual disc 2.

EDIT: Keep in mind that SecuRom might not accept the copy you made.

Make sure that you can see hidden files (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/show-hidden-files-in-windows-8/) and remove the spacing between here: (Joshua AppData). It's supposed to be:(JoshuaAppData).

Everything seems to be in order. Does it work now?
Also, download and extract Scripthook.dll and ScripthookDotNet.asi files to your GTA IV main directory. Download link here: (http://www.hazardx.c...ils.php?file=83)

No, you won't have to reinstall LCPDFR, but you'll have to run the game as administrator.
