  1. Try following this: http://www.lcpdfr.com/page/tutorials/index.action/_/script-data-file-modification-tutorials/troubleshooting-crashes-r112 to troubleshoot ELS.
  2. Make sure you are using the Advancedhook.dll, Scripthook.dll, and asi loader (dsound.dll or xlive.dll) provided with LCPD:FR, not the ones provided with ELS or any other modification.
  3. Try disabling "autosave" in the configuration function of the LCPD:FR diagnostic tool.
  4. Try running the LCPD:FR diagnostics tool to check if you have any missing dependinces.
  5. You may need the 32-bit versions of C++ for GTA IV. Try: Removing Advancedhookinit.asi Disabling LCPD:FR's autosave Making sure you have one asi loader (either dsound.dll OR xlive.dll) Making sure your Advancedhook, Scripthook, and asi loader are all from LCPD:FR. Do a manual reinstall of LCPD:FR after installing any other modifications if unsure. A manual reinstall of LCPD:FR Disabling ELS Ai. Reducing your quality settings, or installing Large Address Aware. If none of these common solutions work, uninstall all modifications, and reinstall each individually untill the game fails. Then, you'll know what is causing the problem, and can avoid using it. And remember, the less unnecessary modifications, the more stable the game will be.
  6. Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder Install these: .Net Framework 4.5, Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2005, Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012
  7. There is a problem with your AdvancedHook. Try doing a manual install of LCPD:FR over your current instalation. And, as these are are the common basic fixes, please: Make sure you aren't using a crack Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues Make sure that you run the game as an administrator. 10. GTA IV has a built in feature to stop anyone from doing this. Even so, you can still install external saves by deleting dsound.dll and replacing it with xlive.dll, included with LCPD:FR. Keep in mind, though, this disables online multiplayer. However, saves while on duty shouldn't cause a problem anymore. Your crash probably has to do with something else. 11. ELS works by alternating specific textures, with the suffix "extra", on a vehicle. If the actual lights are not the right color, it means their texture is incorrect. If not, then something is causing GTA IV to display extras differently.
