I see the game updating and I can't even stop it... This is absolutely pathetic! They'll do anything in their power to stop LSPDFR!

You will need to reinstall social club manually. I initially played fine for a few hours, but got the bex64 error after restarting my comp later. Same here. The only reason I get GTA to begin with. For police mods.

Rockstar Games did make the following statement, regarding the recent updates, that affect mods: Recent updates to GTAV PC had an unintended effect of making unplayable certain single player modifications. This was not intentional, no one has been banned for using single player modifications, and you should not worry about being banned or being relegated to the cheater pool just for using single player PC mods. Our primary focus is on protecting GTA Online against modifications that could give players an unfair advantage, disrupt gameplay, or cause griefing. It also bears mentioning that because game mods are by definition unauthorized, they may be broken by technical updates, cause instability, or affect your game in other unforeseen ways.

The only thing about this update is that it helped increase the prevention of modifications, which is beyond silly if you ask me. Why would Rockstar want to stop a creation, that a customer paid their own money for? You might as well not even get it at all. They keep making these updates that break scripts and mods.

I feel the biggest problems are having to always aim at a suspect to arrest them and not being able to pull them out of their car and search it. I also find it annoying that I cannot hold onto their arm, like I could in LCPDFR. They sometimes run away and at times jump right out of the backseat, which causes another foot pursuit, which does not get noted as a chase, so officers won't help you. Not sure if you can tinker with this, but the taser seems way too powerful, to the point where they always die when shot by it.

I'm surprised they haven't shut down LCPDFR/LSPDFR for having the mods on here, but thank God they haven't! That'd be a boring game without some mods!

You cannot modify the game and attempt to sell it for profit or as your own. That part is illegal. Rockstar already knows people do these mods and I don't think they've made any attempt to stop it. Well, I guess we wait now...

Well gee, I wish I had those 3 files to downgrade. I'm a Steam user. I just downloaded a bunch of new things and can't even try them for God knows how long. Anybody have any idea on where someone could get the files to downgrade or possibly a previous patch link by Rockstar?

While I do agree with you about the free content part, people do create mods and want to test them and play them, but when they have that ability taken away, that gives them all the right to "complain and nag" as you call it, especially when they didn't get the option to update. Yeah, I'm sure they will be back on track in the next few days, but it is an inconvenience, especially being a Steam user.

I wonder if Rockstar does this deliberately, in order to attempt to keep their game vanilla. I wonder if they like people modding their game.

Well the vehicle is a 2012 Ziegler Mercedes Benz Atego 1426F. Only this model of vehicle comes with that type of lightbar. I've done my research and cannot find any specific name or company, so it might be a Mercedes made lightbar, special for emergency services only.

Glad you swept in, in time! That would have been a nightmare for them to reinstall the whole thing!

Have you tried contacting steam or maybe even Rockstar Games? How about verifying game integrity if you're running steam?

This seems to be a big problem for a lot of users. The best advice to give is UPDATE, even if that person doesn't think they need to. Good thinking y'all!
