Yes, you are correct, should Europe become under attack, we would without a doubt defend it. However, the European Union Army would let Brussels use our Army, for it's own Agenda, and in no way should that happen. I have no idea, and I have yet to see an argument on why a European Army would be smart, it would simply result in more countries being drawn into Wars, even if their people don't agree with it, and that's because the European Union is not an actual democracy, so the people would have their army and country drawn into a war, by a Union which original purpose was to bring more cooperation between countries. I've got nothing against cooperation between countries in Europe, but it baffles be how we went from a thing about cooperation, into this system where the elected people from this country are told in what policies they can and cannot pass in their own country, because how the European Council, again being the un-elected pass the laws. Completely a stupid concept and idea, it's not a cooperation, and it merely removes power from this country to do what it believes is in the best interest of it's citizens.

I highly doubt that would come in our Lifetime, and that's coming from someone who is eighteen, things only seem to be getting worse, the plans for a European Army have been drawn up, people don't want it but that doesn't stop the European Union, because it's not really a Democracy, the unelected just taking over Europe and telling every country what to do, not cool at all. Especially when the United Kingdom already devote troops to the Baltic State, which means if the Russians where to ever get a stupid idea, the British Army would deploy to them countries straight away to defend them, that's on-top of the fact we are already in NATO. If someone was to try and Attack Europe, I can assure you that the British Army would get involved, so the idea behind the European Union creating this gigantic army which is like a smaller version of NATO is completely and utterly stupid, especially because it wouldn't work like NATO, the people who aren't elected by the British, and other countries will be forced to become involved in conflicts that it has no place in, because some un-elected idiot has decided to something which other countries in Europe Disagree with. Essentially if this was to happen, our 'Assets' as they say in the Armed Forces would be under the control of someone in Brussels, rather than the Prime Minister of the Secretary of Defense, they knew this would of made people vote leave, and that's why they postponed it's announcement until after the vote. I'm personally not bothered really about this Vote Leave / Vote Remain. In the end, we would of always left the European Union, it was just a matter of time until they did something Stupid, like creating a European Army, or forcing us into a war for no reason once in it.

At this point, I've lost what you are talking about @NYPDDetectiveODonnell equality is already out there, Black Power is a thing of the past, as the whole idea was to provide equal rights to blacks, and that has been done. Thus' bringing the confusion with why a supposed new black army that is forming, that will be stronger than ever, because this is just sounding like a plot to a Lord of the Rings movie. Equality exists, is it at the level we want it to be? No, however it's not simply down to White Cops. I mean, people say that Cops judge Black people based on the actions of a minority, all while judging all white cops for the actions of a minority. It's truly confusing, why is it only the White Police who are racist, it's everyone involved.

I respect everyone, including blacks. However I don't understand how 'Black Power' even plays a part in this discussion, the idea behind it was to result in people who are black, been given the same rights that everyone else had. In my opinion, that has been accomplished, Black Power now is being used as a reason to cause disorder, I mean, really? Black Power, everyone no matter whatever the color of their skin has access to the same job opportunities, voting, human rights, amount all other rights, so how is it playing a part in this. When everyone has equal rights, what are people achieving by breaking up a parade, which is taking a positive stance towards Gays, all in the name of Black Power. I doubt anyone can tell me some logical reason on why breaking up a parade which group strove for the same rights as people who are Black, is in anyway for a logical reason, it's idiotic.

I'm going to throw my two-cents in. I'm not going to say all cops aren't racist, nor do all cops treat everyone equally, however, if the cop from that first part of the video was the same one from the second part of the video, would he have drawn a gun? I highly doubt it, if you look at that first cop, he's quite a chill dude, one of the cops that really respects the rights of people, so as I say, I highly doubt he would of drawn a firearm on the second person. I'm also getting sick of all this, cops are racist. I mean how many videos where a cop is restraining a person, how many black cops do you see in these videos, because I can say that tons of these videos have a black cop doing his duty in them, so how is a black cop racist towards a black citizen? I hate how everyone posts a video of a cop being an idiot and that represents all the cops in America, but if a video of a cop is posted being a true cop, respectful and not racist, that's overlooked, it's only representative of that one cop. So yeah, are some cops Racist? Yes. However, in that case, anyone who calls a cop racist for being white and policing, is in their own respect Racist. So this whole Racial thing works two ways, not just one.

At this point, with all the hate towards cops, I don't think cops even have to do anything wrong to be judged. I mean, you watch a video where there is someone being restrained, or arrested, or y'know pretty much anything else, and all of a sudden everyone is an expert in Police Procedure and how to correctly do this, that and the other. Recently one of the main members of BLM did some Scenario based training with the Police in America, and in the first Scenario he was shot before he even drew his gun, and in the second one he shot and unarmed man. I'm pretty sure that alone is a testament to the decisions the cops have to make in such a short amount of time. Is he going to shoot me? Does he have a hidden weapon? Does he have a warrant. All this playing out in a mere few seconds, and a cop is expected to make the correct decision every time, I want to see more of these armchair cops get put in the positions of Cops, lets see how good they are, saying they seem to be experts. Also, to the person further up who decided to post a meme, not cool, not allowed.

The Problem out of all of this situation, which confuses me the most, I know you guys have your rights to firearms and all, and I'm not going to argue the need to have them, but why on gods green earth would you need a Sniper Rifle or some other form of a High Powered Rifle for defense, I mean c'mon, in what god damn situation are you going to need a rifle of that magnitude, because I can't think of one. I know the ability to purchase weapons aren't going to change in America, but I really don't understand why people have the ability to purchase firearms such as a Sniper Rifle under the justification of Self Defense, it baffles me. A while back when I'd hear of a shooting in America, I'd spend a lot of timing watching it on the News, but it's literally at the point where it doesn't even phase me anymore, as it happens so often. Yet, America stands their ground, let thou' keep their Sniper Rifles.

What I'm trying to say about the spending is, that we have a crappy economy, so with the money we put into that, among everything else that the country provides to citizens, how is the country expected to increase the amount of Asylum Seekers we take on, and still manage to provide them with houses and money for living. We are taking in Refugee's when we don't even have enough housing or money, to house Former Soldiers who served this country, we have citizens which don't have housing, but other countries want us to do more. Back onto the whole, being told what to do by other countries. I still find it completely idiotic, you referred to it as a 'close relationship' yet in reality we are being told by non-elected people on what we should do. Now why is it not possible for Europe to all work together closely, without having them dictate what laws this country has, I mean that's not really a close or healthy relationship. I'm all for cooperation between the countries in the European Union, it allows for trading, but it just baffles me on how we got to this point, where it wasn't just about the economy or trading, but more about a council, not elected by the electorate telling the countries what laws they abide by.

Yes, you are right @LMS that other countries take more people in than the United Kingdom. However, in coming to the United Kingdom, they'll be set up in a house, they'll have access to a free health services, which can't even function as it is, never mind with more people coming in, which'll happen in most other European countries, fair enough. However, Hungary take 1,800 per every 100,00, they also only have a military budget of $1,08 billion, Sweden take in the 1,667, they have a military budget of 5,77 billion, Germany take in 587, they have a military budget of $37.79 billion, this is all compared to the $65 billion the United Kingdom spends on its military. While the Germans are putting quite a lot into their military, they haven't had a large one for the past century for quite obvious reasons, so they've had money to invest into other things, which is why their economy is so good. The United Kingdom pretty much prides itself on being able to deploy a fighting force to anywhere in the world in hours upwards to two days, we have all that spending put into protecting countries in Europe, as well as the United Kingdom. If you look at our Military spending, our Health Care spending, the money we will spend on housing and living for Asylum Seekers, as well as everything else, we are in a country which is pretty much always leveling on some form of chaos due to a lack of a money. So while we may not take in as many people, I think it's quite clear that we spend a lot of money ensuring the safety of people in Europe and around the world with the commitment to NATO, even though our economy is screwed beyond belief. So you add that, on-top of the fact we have to abide by laws, set by people we the people didn't elect in, which may benefit some countries, but not others, I can see why Britain left the European Union. You are right that the idea of having close relationships with the countries you live near is a great thing, but not when you are being told what to do, by the people you did not elect, with laws you don't agree in, nor laws that aren't in the best interest of the country.

I think immigration is a plausible reason to vote against the European Union. It's not because immigrants are bad and all, it's because we are in the European Union which basically means we are required to let them come in to the country, and we are a small enough country as it is, with not enough jobs, not enough money and yet we aren't allowed to slim down the amount of people that come to this country, or get the ones who have skills that can contribute to this country. Instead we get stuck with thousands of people travelling across Europe and ending up here in the United Kingdom because English is the language most of them know the basics of, and thus they settle down here. The problem with this is, people are called racists for saying "I'm genuinely scared there won't be many jobs left" and that's just idiotic, its a logical thing to think, and it's arrogant that people are called racist for merely being concerned at the mass-immigration.

This whole Referendum has been a joke, let's be real. Neither sides have failed to provide sufficient information on which option would be better, they have both failed the British people. On one hand we can remain in the European Union and allow people we didn't elect tell us how to run our own country, which also is really healthy for businesses and trading. I recall reading a while back, during this whole referendum, that the European Union said that all countries not using Euro's would have to adopt it by 2020, even though it's a weaker currency compared to Pound. On the other hand, we could Leave, ruin our trading agreements as well as the free travel throughout the European Union, which could turn out anyway at this point, as something like this hasn't happened before. Leaving though, allows the people we elected to make decisions that are in the best interest of the country, and signify what the people want. Let's be real, we haven't been left with many good options, and that's down to the British Government and the European Union for being stubborn. This whole European Army thing hasn't really helped me in wanting to remain in the European Union, basically giving our gigantic army, and then saying the European Union can bring up areas of conflict that would like to use the EU Army, that's just idiotic and bizarre.

Do I need to inform certain people in this topic, what respect actually is, because I see a lack of it in some posts. Also, what is with all the posts in this Discussion. I see so many good points, quite logical points which are ignored, instead people pick out parts which ignite an argument, rather than provide to the topic at hand.

It seems you are acting like your Anthem has been changed to a Justin Bieber song. They've merely made it a more modern representation of how society is, I don't see what's so bad with it.

Let's be real though, in terms of Chicago and other cities, them Gun Laws are set up to fail. I've read up on this a bit, and according to the 4nd Amendment Rights, American Police must have a strong reason to stop and search someone for carrying a firearm, even if they are believed they are carrying an illegal firearm, they still don't have sufficient proof. Where as here in the United Kingdom, you can be stopped and searched under the Firearms Act, Misuse of Drugs Act and so on-wards. I gather Americans are going to reply to this with, that it's stupid to let the Police search you for no reason, but let's be real. If you don't have a firearm illegally, you have nothing to worry about. The ones who do, lose their firearms and go to jail, and the place becomes that tiny bit safer.

It does seem like this is being hyped up as a big issue. I mean, c'mon. The National Anthem has been changed to show that Canada is an equal, gender-neutral country. How can someone be mad with that?
