0taku Friends of LSPDFR August 7, 20169 yr Author stats Both the Holden caprice (as of the new bodystyle) and Chevy Caprice use the same Chassis. Think of it like the Crown Vic Vs. the Mercury Marauder or the Ford Transit vs the Sprinter Van Also while we are at it, The new Chevy SS uses the same Chassis as the Holden Commondore. But to answer the question, Yes, It's just whether its a Holden or Chevy (yes I know you can see the badge)

They're all made here in Australia... well, they were. Not sure if they still are as GM is pulling out of Australia but regardless, the Caprice we send over to the States is fitted to PPV standards and with a Chevy logo on it. It's uses exactly the same chassis and body design as the Holden Statesman/Caprice, but obviously you can't buy the civilian model like we can.
