Error after loading GTA IV

Featured Replies

I just installed LCPDFR using the dsound asi loader. When I opened the game, I received an error message after the game loaded. I read somewhere on this site to try using the xliveless loader instead and see if that works. Even using xliveless I receive the same 2 error messages. Once it loads and I can see Niko, on the top left of the screen it says in white lettering

Error in script: 'FirstResponse.Main.EmergencyLights'!

Then a few seconds later it says

Error in script: 'FirstResponse.Main.Start'!

I've tried reinstalling the mod but I still get the same error messages. Any ideas as to how to fix this "error in script" issue?

Here's the G17 Media IV Diagnostics tool report.

Did you install it as Admin? Also, did you manually install or actually use the installer?

I talked to one person before who had almost the same messages and they'd manually installed it.

I used the actual installer from this site. I even downloaded the installer again just to make sure it wasn't a corrupt file or something. Still getting the same error using both asi loaders (one at a time) and even after reinstalling completely. I'm only using 2 weapon skin mods. Urrghh, I was really looking forward to using LCPDFR

A dual core with windows vista and barley 3gb of ram

Ya know I'm having the same issue... except I have a lot of mods running (LA vehicle pack 2.0, indicator, the baton weapon, Breathalizer, ELS6.1, Halt_Traffic (or something like that to have them stop behind you for 25+ seconds instead of trying to overtake you), a radar mod, the v64 trainer, SpeedoIV, TrafficFlowv5RC2, RTC_v5, female cops 0.9, google radar, the 'blue' police station one, Towing service, and I think that's it... lol)

Going to try a fresh install with just LCPDFR, and see if that fixes it... if so then its one of those mods running that's causing the error.

You need to create a separate thread if you need help buddy.

Nevermind... got it to work :\, I did a "repair" (although probably not necessary) then ran everything through administrator mode... guess I was so used to having UAC off, that with it on now, (don't ask, long story) that I had to run everything as admin again, lol. Epic fail *facepalm*

EDIT: So to O.P. try the same thing. Do a repair/or fresh install, patch to latest of course, install LCPDFR as admin, run game as admin. Or having UAC off, either way that should work hopefull...
