Can someone plz help? LML

Featured Replies

I downloaded Lennys Mod Loader and it was the worst modding mistake ive ever made. Just an absolute waste of my time. I had just perfected my game with all of the vehicles, liveries, mods etc just how I wanted them. After installing LML I learned that all of my previous mods were reverted to the vanilla (vehicles, etc). So I then uninstalled all of the LML files. STILL ALL VANILLA. UGH. I had watched Albo's modding tutorial and the folder we set up in OPENIV where I placed all of my vehicle files...the shortcut (favorites bar) to get there isn't even available to click on. Downloading LML was the worst mistake ever. Can someone please help me get my game back to the way it was? Also, on a side note, is there anyway to download Coastal Callouts without LML and thus screwing my whole game and all of my files?

Any help is very appreciated. I am just so upset and frustrated that all of the hours I spent perfecting my game was all undone by installing LML. I DO NOT RECOMEND DOWNLOADING IT

Like i will literally pay someone to get on a skype call with me and help me uncluster**** my game

  • Using it without LML isn't supported. LML didn't touch your mods folder.

  • If you would take the time to understand how LML works, you would understand it doesn't touch your mods folder. Any issues like you describe are user error.

I've got LML working alongside traditional mods in the mods folder just fine, no problem whatsoever. Like everyone else said, installing LML won't delete or mess up any other mods.

Hello,

Couple of things. First, it isnt advised to pay someone to get stuff fixed in your game to avoid a scam.

Second, what all did you have installed? I will need the files to further assist you in fixing your game back to the way it was.

As for Coastal Callouts, follow this link below and select the download titled: "Coastal_Callouts_1.1_PLUGIN.zip". Then drag and drop all the files in the download Script Installation Files/GTA 5 folder into your GTA 5 Main Directory.

Hope This Helps! 🙂

Thanks for the response. What about the LML package for coastal callouts? Isnt there vehicles and such that need to be installed?

I am really confused now.... all of my vehicle files are still in my MODDING/dlc.rpf folder.... yet when I spawn in the game its all the vanilla vehicles

dinput8.dll is in there.

I completely removed LML and coastal callouts. My issue now is that the game crashes on startup. No one can seem to give me and answer to why it is crashing.

I looked at your previous screenshot again...for one, your mods folder was called "_mods" which is why they weren't loading. Two, why in the hell do you have every single dlcpack in your mods folder? You only need the ones you're using for mods (if your using Albo's modding DLC, then you shouldn't need ANY of the default dlcpacks).

For the crashing problem, if it started crashing after naming your mods folder properly, then it's because of something in there. Make sure you have the most recent version of update.rpf. Honestly, I seriously doubt anyone could narrow down the issue if you have EVERY dlc pack in your mods folder.

It honestly baffles me how you blame LML for breaking your game after seeing that.

It's pretty moronic to rename your mods folder to "_mods" and blame LML and Coastal Callouts for your mods not loading anymore.

as you can see in the topic I obviously was directed to try that by "Helping Stranger" so youre basically calling him moronic for that one lmfao

If someone told you to do that, it was to test to see if your mods folder was the problem. By renaming, they won't load anymore, so if the game loads, your mods folder is the problem.

correct.... the question is how to fix the mods folder

I would start by copying the most recent update.rpf back in there. You'll have to update dlclist.xml, install gameconfig.xml, and possibly others depending on what you modded.

Sidenote: benefit of LML - no need to copy the new update.rpf every update. You can just load any data files you need to replace in update.rpf directly with LML.

The update.rpf in the mod folder looks like the same update.rpf in the update folder

I have never gone into any of those dlc packs so I don't think the problem would lie within those

this is the only thing ive ever made changes in... you can see here the modding folder that my vehicles are in... theres an eup folder... and the gs pack is from security+

It doesn't matter if you made changes in it. If your game was working after the last GTA update it probably isn't the issue, but after every GTA update you need to copy the new update.rpf to your mods folder, update dlclist.xml to include your added dlcpacks, and download a new gameconfig.xml for the latest version of the game.

so what should I just delete my mods folder and redo it? I don't understand how to fix this so the game will laucnh

I would recommend redoing your mods folder just because the way you had it was way wrong. You don't need to copy every single dlcpack into it, just the ones you are making changes to. You should follow Albo's tutorial again. You shouldn't need to reinstall everything so long as you just copy your MODDING dlc instead of using his empty one. Then just run the EUP installer again.

in his tutorial he says to copy "update" and "x64" into the mods folder... that's what I did.

Well, you should really just need to follow the tutorial for the modding dlc. I just found the one where he says that and I'm not sure why he would do it that way. It will be much easier to troubleshoot if you only put your mods in there.

Okay well I deleted the mods folder. Opened albo modding tutorial. The game now will launch. I will just need to go thru and reconstruct my mods folder and download all of my stuff again.

Last question I guess. Is there anyway to download Coastal Callouts without LML? Because, again, when I downloaded LML it switched it to all the vanilla vehicles, which is what started this whole thing. Am I able to get coastal callouts without lml
