Help with Adding Two Lights

Eagle

Recommended Posts

You are supposed to import all textures from the beginning. Export the textures from the sultan.wtd and include all vehicle_generic textures as well.

Then import the vehicle, add your lights, export, import car in OpenIV, import all your textures, then remove all vehicle_generic textures from the wtd.

Here's a DL link for the general textures to save you time: http://www.mediafire...01t23uy1gxc9af7

Before you import a model, you need to add the textures for that model (in your case the sultan) and the general vehicle textures (link above) into the texture browser. Then you can import the model.

Thanks. Okay, here's a picture. I imported everything you gave me along with model textures (and placed the lights, see hierarchy), Now I'll import in OpenIV to test the vehicle.

As Tom said, modify your wheel_lf section so it looks like this

+ wheel_lf

[wheelmesh_lf]

[wheelmesh_lf_l1]

wheel_lf [COL]

Processor: Intel i5-6600 @ 3.30GHz

GPU: MSI ARMOR GeForce GTX 1080 OC

I tried exporting again after doing what you said, still 0kb.

Here's hierarchy:

Click the little "+" on the error message.

And the wheels are still wrong.

You've not included the brackets

and you've deleted the collision file for the wheel

Don't create your own, the game likes to crash with own-made ones.

Just use the ones from the police cruiser.

You can create your own, I've never experienced any issues by making new dummies and using them.

@Eagle: The wheelmesh is meant to be named as follows:

wheel_lf

- [wheelmesh_lf]

- [wheelmesh_lf_l1]

The "[wheelmesh_lf_l1]" is merely a LOD copy of the "[wheelmesh_lf]", also keep in mind that you require the brackets.

If I leave it like in screen below, I'll have 0kb. If I delete wheelmesh-es that are under wheel_if, and try to export program will crash. If I delete wheelmesh-es that aren't under wheel_if program won't crash but it'll still have 0kb. If I rename wheelmesh-es under wheel_if and delete those that aren't in hierarchy program will crash during exporting.

Also, I can't place [wheelmesh_lf] and [wheelmesh_lf_l1] under wheel_if. I don't know why but I can't even insert it in chassis.

  • 1 month later...

It's been a while since I made a progress here. I was so busy with my business so I barely played games. I fixed the wheel thing, works ok now. The next problem is it'll export the car but without proper textures (before I was importing the car, I loaded all textures and assigned them). So it says like this:

ZModeler is ready.

Object "police.wft" was not found. Whole scene will be exported.

When I go in the game I don't have wheels on the car. It's same when I try to view it in OpenIV. See the Zmodeler, wheels thing is alright...
