HELLO i hope if lspdfr 0.4 support the co op system it will be add fun like co op in police mod gta iv 

For the foreseeable future, they don't plan to add a co-op mode for LSPDFR.

I am not sure what the reasoning is for that, but they have always just seen it being single player only.

I'd guess the team made an early decision to stay as far away from anything that might appear to be competing with GTA Online.

That's a possibility. The exact reason I am not sure on, but that might be one reason. Although one could argue FiveM competes with GTA Online and it is still up and hasnt been served with any legal notice or such.

I believe they've been targeted by legal threats at least once, and that leading team members had their Social Club accounts terminated, as well.

 

Take2 has jackbooted over the modding community multiple times for multiple reasons, the team's caution here is well warranted.

Oh yeah totally. That whole Take Two v. OpenIV issue was nuts. It just shows you how much Take2 cares more about money than content. Seeing as how they favor their Online Community more cause it brings them more money. I would totally get if the LSPDFR founders were cautious due to that reason.

With mods like this that require you to use a legit copy of GTAV, in a way, it's helping them market the game.  There are plenty of posts on here where the OP said they bought GTAV just to play LSPDFR.  So you have to buy GTAV anyway.  More money in Take2's pocket.

That is totally true. However, Take2 cares a lot about the Online, which was the main reason for the OpenIV case. However, in terms of LSPDFR, there may not be an issue if it goes to multiplayer. It's kind of 50/50.

The standpoint has always been to keep LC/SPDFR a single-player experience only, simply because we do not wish to interfere with the multiplayer aspects of GTA IV and V. 

 

In IV, it was still possible to play LCPDFR but it was highly recommended not to, as it is quite disruptive. In GTA V, GTA Online is seen as its own game, and LSPDFR is for GTA V.

Fair enough. It's also a lot easier to work with in single player I imagine.
