Is anyone else having this problem? I've never seen it before in past updates, especially since I've been using just beta releases. When did it start becoming version-dependent?

As of now, I have found no other solution or way to fix this issue. As you've said, something might be outdated in my main folder. However, that is untrue as I've personally checked and gone over every file folder I could see that might be outdated. RageNativeUI was outdated from many months back, so I thought that might be the problem. It turns out that it wasn't the issue, the game still crashes while loading in with SHVDN. I even cleaned my entire scripts folder to make sure it wasn't a script mod that was causing the crashes. I'll keep trying it out every day in the hopes that it will eventually work because if there isn't anything intrinsically wrong with it, then I must be doing something inherently wrong. Or, Occam's razor here, the mod itself is entirely to blame. This comes completely out of nowhere, as only with the newer version and update (drug wars) it started to cause loading screen crashes. Before the update, it was working fine, with no issues, and no crashes. Not a single thing was wrong. Maybe I've exhausted all my options, and others will relatively feel unaffected by my issues as theirs are working. As of right now, it seems there is no solution but to stop using it.

Thanks for the advice. It's a damn shame that its broken, but you did state that the issue happens randomly. Is this the case for other people? Or is it slated to happen eventually, and occur haphazardly by happenstance when it does? I don't see any halt in the development of mods that do require it, so it must not be a widespread issue.

Has anyone else been experiencing issues with ScriptHookVDotNet? I have the latest version from GitHub and removed other mods but for some reason, every time I fire up the game it crashes midway through the loading screen. Before anyone might ask, no I am NOT running RPH. I am simply opening the game through steam and loading into story mode, or at least trying to. I really don't know why it is crashing my game, I gave a friend the same version and their game loaded completely fine. I've heard that it varies, that some people are unlucky and it doesn't work for them and some people it does, but that doesn't make any sense. Any help is appreciated.

I recently added a few new lines to the TrafficStopQuestions file and went to save it, but when I did Notepad++ said save failed. This occurred even when I unloaded LSPDFR. It is weird as I was able to edit CompuLite's xml file without issues. Didn't exactly know where to post this, so i chose to put it here. Can anyone help?

Okay, so I've narrowed it down to my mods folder. Game loaded in absolutely fine when I verified files and removed all other non-vanilla files. Downloaded the OpenIV thing and immediately had the error. So I guess what I do now is start a clean slate and live to mod another day.

Both of those configs I've tried and they don't work. Currently I've cleaned my entire main directory to the vanilla GTA 5 clean folder and I am verifying the files again. Once I get done I will get back with results. I am sure it has to be one of my mods causing the crash, but sometimes you can be wrong about what is causing errors and issues.

As the title suggests, I am at a total and complete loss to figure out why ELS simply is refusing to work in-game. I've tried countless solutions. Countless, countless solutions. All of them futile. My luck has ran out. I am about close to cracking and never playing LSPDFR ever again, but I don't want to give up just yet. Yes, I have installed everything correctly. I have ScriptHookV, AdvancedHookV, all of my VCF's are put in the proper place and root folder (Packdefault) and above all else, I never had this issue beforehand. Now, all of a sudden my lights on the lightbars refuse to work whatsoever, the weird thing is that only does the rear taillights flash and flicker but that is it. Nothing else. The rear taillights are the only things producing any kind of light. Other than that, my lightbars/siderunners do not light up. It some vehicles, the pattern is stuck and I do see some lights (but they are frozen in-place and do not move in any pattern). There is no reason why ELS should not be working for me, and I've never ran into this issue before. I only just experienced this a few days ago while logging onto GTAV singleplayer. I was running a test of a new car pack I had downloaded and noticed that the lights did not function properly. I spawned a bunch of others and noted that they too, did not function either. So pretty weird. The following solutions I have tried: Reinstalling ELS Reinstalling ENTIRE Mods Folder Reinstalling ScriptHookV/AdvancedHookV/ScriptHookNET Uninstalling/Reinstalling .ASI folders in OpenIV Restarting PC Restarting Game (Obviously) Pressing the SCRLK key (to enable/disable ELS) Banging my head on my desk If there is any other solutions I may not have gone over or if there is anything anybody can help me with, I will desperately appreciate it. I have no idea why I cannot for the life of me fix this issue. Help is appreciated 100%.

Basically this. It happens every..err..3 or so other times that I press "esc" to go to the pause menu. The 1st and 2nd time nothing out of the ordinary happens and the pause screen comes up regularly. 3rd or so time It will just load forever. Like this. No prompts. No sounds. No nothing. Just loading. Pressing "esc" to go back doesn't work. The game just locks up at this point and I have to either exit or wait it out, which I have tried (I've waited 30 minutes and nothing changed). Very strange, as I've never had this problem before whatsoever. Just noticed it now. Any help? Didn't know where to post this so I chose GTA V Support. I'm running LSPDFR.

I was wondering if anyone was having any issues with the latest version of ELS. Perhaps I'm looking at the wrong GTA 5 Mods place, but It seems that it hasn't been updated since 2017, and I cannot use any functions of ELS whatsoever, no lighting, no sirens, no airhorn, nothing. I also do not know where to put this topic, so I decided here was the best place. Anyone having issues?

It's not ideal to decrease ped population. I know It sucks due to immersion. Ahmed4696 said that No matter the higher end Graphics Card I get, my TV will still cap at 60 FPS if I have vsync on. I have yet to do a new Benchmark test, since I changed my settings to Very High and only my textures on low and nothing in the advanced section turned on. Even if I do get 50-60 FPS and try to cap it around 60, the Lag will still eat my a** up. It's not that I get lag, but the performance in LSPDFR is kinda sh*t compared to the FPS I get in SP. If it is the lag, and my eyes are just deceiving me, the solution is to lower the Population? Is that what I'm getting from you? Or could I try getting more RAM? Specifically RAM to fit my computer. Do you know where to find RAM to fit my PC? I'm hoping to god my Processor isn't bogging my Performance down. That means getting a new Motherboard, which in turn will cause me to get a new CPU and/or GPU. It would cost less to get a new PC, but since I got my PC for Christmas, my parents wouldn't be very ecstatic. AMD is liquid sh*t. I want to throw that thing out, and try a new processor. But I don't know what will fit my Motherboard. I asked other people, and they said shoot for a i3-i5.
