This isn't directly law enforcement related, but considering this might be the next common police cruiser, I wanted to get thoughts on the design.  Personally, I'm annoyed that the Tahoe looks less like a Tahoe and more like an Escalade. (I almost said Cavalcade  - you know you've played too much GTA V when...)  I prefer the 2015 look, that just screams Tahoe.

Personally, Tahoes aren't my favorite police car, because I think FPIU's look way better.

It's going to take some getting used to. I personally don't like the newer Chevy's. But I would have to see this one all outfitted out before I can pass my official judgement. 

Need to see it dechromed and outfitted before I can really say, but definitely looks more like the new expedition than a Tahoe imo. Disappointing.

they might do what they did with the impala - continue selling the older style

We don't need new cars every year, and we don't need new cop cars every year. It's not environmentally conscious, and it's just a waste of money. Makes me chuckle when I see my departments 2015 FPIU next to a 2017 FPIU. Lol, Ford really suckered someone at the commissioners office huh.

 

But the new Tahoe looks sweet, looks-wise at least. But I wish it was electric.

The grille is ugly. Can't they make something more modern looking.

Imo this looks too modern.. reminds me of other cars: "just make the front extremely fat and.. I dunno, just make it look modern"
I love the 16 Tahoe, 14 ones are okay, but this.. this is an abomination 

I am not a fan of the way the front fascia looks; to me it looks like they're trying to out-do the 2021 Bronco in the "how RoboCop can we make it look" department. There's not really any smoothness in the transition from nosepiece to side/bonnet, either; it's just a hard corner like a Kenny T800.

 

I will give it props on how they re-did the headlighting to more resemble the older 2+2 headlight style of the C/K/Silverado/Suburban of the late 90s, though if they did away with the separate running lights (and thus use the headlight beam as the DRL), I'll have to dock points for that.

 

Not really a fan of the trend of "make it bigger" that SUVs/pickup trucks have been going through lately. Time was, you could actually *fit* a pickup in a single parking space...

In all honesty, it looks far too bulky. When I think of police patrol vehicles, I think of a mix of slim but also durable. This vehicle just looks too bulky to be on a pd force. I could see the FBI possibly using this, but for everyday patrol, I don't think it is the best.

It honestly does. Nothing like how a PD vehicle looks to me.

I kinda like it, I don't mind it not looking like a PD vehicle because there's nothing wrong with changing up stuff.

Can't wait to see the official verson and maybe a police package vers.

At least it looks like an SUV and not a hatchback scaled up.

I have to admit, as sexy as I think it is, I do agree it is a tad on the bulky side.  That has advantages and disadvantages.  This thing as a SWAT/ERT vehicle would be perfect, maybe even a fire vehicle, but as an every day patrol car? I'd be very curious to see how it fairs in cities that have small or even cluttered streets.
