I'm pretty sure Vsync is the refresh rate for the monitor but not sure, I get about 55 to 56 FPS and about 45 approx with recording? But recently have had a drop in framerate but only by a few approx sometimes drops to 46 to 50 which is not a problem, but I installed BH policing script and started to have crashing problems, so I took it out and it remains to have problems, and I haven't done anything with the settings always had same vehicles and mods and never had a crash problem any help would be appreciated!

VSync in GTA 4 doesn't work as intended. Policing script also crashes for me, and when definition is on, it applies some sort of pseudo-antialiasing, which blurs the game. I prefer playing with it, some don't. (Pressing P turns definition on and off)

Okay thank you for the fast response great help! But for some reason with the policing script taken out I still have the crashing problems! Don't understand used to be able to play for 4 hrs or until I got bored and never had a problem! Has me stumped!

Have you installed any 3rd party mods such as Bait Car Scripts, Vehicle Mods, Uniforms, Guns? If you had switched anything, i'd be for checking it. If anything good luck! Let me know if i can help anymore. :turned:

Vsync will lock the frame rate to what you monitor is displaying at maximum, which will prevent flickering on the screen, and makes a more clean, and even appearance. If I remember correctly, it will also prevent objects from being split unevenly.
