  • You are all aware of the awesome look of the old Caprice from 91'-96', right? And now, this ugly thing they call the Caprice being released this year shows up. Some hideous shit-box design with a high

Right now, Ford wants us to like the Taurus. But it doesn't deserve to have the Police Intercepter name badge on it, unless it proves itself to be a great police car.

  • I'm glad Wisconsin's departments still has Fords in service. I know my city(Milwaukee) is still using Crown Vics like pros! I'm proud of it!

and there goes another PI legend.

May we never forget the Ford Crown Victoria

Damn, one of my favourite cars, gone... Anyway, sad to see them stop making them but they'll always be used. What car are they switching to now?

No worries, it will return. Just like Chevrolet did back on the Caprice, they might want to focus on another car right now.

The CV is prefered over all of the new ones, the charger included. More interior space, less maintenance dependent, etc. The new Taurus will fade out, and they will bring back the CV in a few years.

Let's hope so, guys. Yeah, we will miss the Crown Victoria, probably the best police interceptor yet. I don't like hate, the Taurus, apart of it's ugly look, it doesn't seems so strong and reliable as the Crown Victoria. I've heard many departments are bringing back the CV, or changing to other brands, like Dodge or Chevrolet, if it isn't is a proof of Ford's fail...

Btw, what's up with Ford? Now they want to replace the E-Series by a crappy european Transit... This world is crazy:/

From what I've heard, Ford is aiming for a clean future, and are trying to set a standard for efficient, and clean running vehicles. Most of their vehicles now have V4 or V6 engines, while their Mustangs and trucks/vans still house V8's. Times have changed, and times are strange. Their new shitboost Ecoboost engine is getting put in most of their new vehicles, and I've even heard they might put it in the next-gen Mustang.

Well, I don't oppose to make things cleaner and efficient, but other things as reliability does also count. And c'mon, why not some nice design? The 2013 escape, aka kuga, the transit... looks like shit. GM has done some cool desings through the years, is it necessary now to copy the ugly european desing instead of making the own, with its own look and spirit?

I don't think efficiency and nice look had to be opposites, unlike what these all cars designers are showing...

I bet they will start making them again by 2014.

But they closed the factory they were made at. And the platform was killed off, being outdated.

Even if they did bring it back, it probably wouldn't be the Vic we know and love.
