0.4 doesn't handle custom cars as well as 0.3 did. You'd have to replace your 4K textures with 2K ones (assuming your custom vehicles use 4K textures, which they most likely do). If you don't know how to do that, I can try to help you out if you want me to.

I just updated to the newest LSPDFR and im getting massive texture loss. I have played .4 without texture loss but since updating to the .4.1 its really bad. half the map is usually missing. Not sure what to do.

i also got info from some people that RAM speed might have affected the texture loss issue.

if you have older RAM (lower than DDR4), try to reduce your texture quality to normal or high on GTA V graphic settings.

that would be nice. i turned the preload all models off and that stopped the texture loss. But changing the textures would be nice to know how to do.

mine is ddr4 so i dont know if that would be an issue. but thank you for pointing that out. would never have thought that.

Glad you fixed the issue. Unless you plan on adding additional custom vehicles to your game, you should be fine. But if you do, you might want to have a look at this little guide I made to check whether or not your vehicles use 4K textures:

Spoiler

You can check what resolution the car textures are by going to the install directory in OpenIV and opening the .ytd files, like "police3.ytd" for example. Once opened, find the livery texture(s). They are usually called something ending with "_sign_1",  "_sign_2" etc. depending on how many variations the specific model has.

Once you find the livery texture, "explorer_sign_1" for example, check the width and height number. If it is above 4000 it is a 4K texture. If it is 2048, then it is a 2K texture.
