DLer - Liveries and WIP's

Featured Replies

Hey DLer, I've made some more NOOSE skins based on yours, this time for Buffalo Interceptor, can I release them? With full credit, of course!

(If you say yes, could you take a shot or two ingame (I'll send the skin files thru PM)? Your screenshots are wonderful, and I can't play GTA now  )

Thanks for the info Ekalb. I also want to map the license plate on the open Cruiser v3.6 Lt.Caine has to match my Buffalo. Sadly he never posted an open version of the Patrol car. Maybe I can add the vehshare texture to the patrol file? I wonder...

If you have something mapped to a vehshare texture (like the lightbar) and you add that texture image to the vehicles wtd file and edit it (make sure you keep the file name the same), it should appear with the editted version ingame. My understanding is that the game will look for the textures in the .wtd file first, and if they're not there it will look for them in the vehshare files as.

Made this one just for fun...working on some other Boxville liveries to change things up... :)

Anyone who can come up with a great one liner to replace the "Putting Your Package First and Foremost" will get it on the truck...!

EDIT: Maybe "Placing" instead of "Putting"... since, well, you know.

Not sure why I torture myself making skins for freakin' boxvilles. I need to get on those skins for Alderney and the new Landstalker...!

Question for everyone: Has anyone seen videos featuring any of my liveries? I'd love to see them in action.

Yard1, are you still having troubles playing your game? I had forgotten your request about the Buffalo liveries, you are welcome to submit them.

Yeah, I can't take any decent screens, as when I try to setup something with SNT and Fraps, after few mins my game crashes, and I can play LCPDFR for max. 15 mins without CTDs. And thanks! I'll upload them soon (I hope). One more question - can I also upload a NOOSE Landstalker based on your skins?

If you don't mind letting me complete the three Landstalker skins I have left to make first. I'd like to make the NOOSE FPS related one for it this evening and release the LCPD/NOOSE ones prior, I would appreciate it.

I also am looking into making a Tactical Response Unit black version and another LCPD version as well. I will make an Alderney one later.

Okay the Landstalker Livery pack will be up shortly. Here are some screens:

This would make for a great undercover model with a lightbar as an extra *COUGH EKALB COUGH* I think.

Oh and here's these just for kicks:

Not really planning on releasing these unless someone really wants 'em. The graffiti one is a WIP...

Enjoy!

So I've been working on that Washington "Town Car" taxi a bit. There isn't too much other than a new 'T & LC' license plate and LC taxi decals on the front window to mimic the real thing. I need to adjust the dirt levels as well as the decals a bit.

I had messaged some people in the hopes of figuring out how to make it fully functional to no avail. When you actually take a taxi ride, the destination marker box does not come up. Other than that its a good replacement to add to that real NYC feel while of course staying within the game's world. If anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it.

Though I can't comment on the taxi-related question that you've got, I can surely say that those Boxville textures look really awesome. I need low-poly/original cars with a different spin on them; a release of those textures would be greatly appreciated!

I will make some adjustments and finish up the final skin I had in mind and release the pack.

cj24 was nice enough to let me know that apparently the destination box is completely scripted, so it looks like the Washington model overlaps the box within the interior space. I will be playing around with taxi1 vs taxi2 where this is now and see if it makes a difference after some other needed changes. This one will be for my collection personally until I can figure that out.

So life caught up with me so the Boxville pack won't be released until next week sometime. I want to make a Liberty State delivery service truck, unless someone has a better idea for what would make a good livery. I won't include the graffiti livery however since the exterior trim is not mapped, which would make for an unrealistic "tagging". I may make a Logger beer livery since I don't want to include the Pisswasser as that is available.

The Washington Taxi will be in testing next week. I also plan on creating an LCPD livery for the slicktop Banshee ITO put out, as well as perhaps a "DARE" style or similar to the current Stinger livery as well.

I got a chance to work on the Taxi and found that when replacing taxi vs taxi2 you can see the destination marker box, but it is cut off. Not sure how you would be able to adjust the positioning of it. Anyone willing to take a shot at that? Looks like its a quick fix. I opened the taxi in Zmodeler and forgot how user-unfriendly that program is, couldn't isolate the extras to see where the marker box is or what extra it is.

Made some strides tonight:

Note the Commercial license plate. I want to make one more skin perhaps before I send out the livery pack, though having a standard clear version sans adverts spawning randomly with various colors works too.

Placing the Washington Taxi in the "Taxi1" slot helps display the marker box as shown above. Harper may be able to adjust this and I can release.

AND WHATS THIS?!

OUT OF NOWHERE. The Annis Pinnacle LCPD squad car. Wish it had a vector! Oh well, still fun to put together with no template...blah. Of course its based on the NYPD's Altima fleet cars and their "Traffic Divisions". I plan to make a few more variants though the original file does not have liveries set up, its not too hard to add. Still working on a Cavalcade and Banshee skin as well...

And the current lineup:
