Response distance

A topic I wished to add my own thoughts into should the development team be on the prowl for any ideas. Please correct me if this has been addressed.

From my playtime using LSPDFR until now I've noticed that calls tend to be generated fairly close to the player, whether this is purely down to the mod itself or the plugins used I'm not sure, but if at all possible should the 0.4 or any subsequent releases add new calls to the base mod if the range could vary from call to call from a few blocks away to the other side of the city. As a British player I tend to enjoy the response runs from A to B and usually find them fairly short in-game.

I believe this would add a little extra enjoyment to calls as it makes them last a little longer, as incorporating the drive to the event is now part of the call at large and a quick but safe response from across the city adds a new factor.

Thoughts welcome!

There are some callouts mods that have fixed locations for their events, so you could be driving across the entirety of the map to get to a call, but most like you said spawn pretty close. I think it's possible but its all up to the mod developer to extend the range at which callouts can spawn.

one mod I can remember that has fixed locations is RoadIncident Callouts, Tacco Highway callouts as well but I'm not sure thats still compatible with the latest GTA V version

The only problem with fixed locations is that whenever you get that call eventually you'll have responded there multiple times before, which yes it makes sense due to repeat offenders but changed get frustrating after a while. But they're definitely a step in the right direction.

This is probably my least favorite thing about lspdfr. I HATE that calls literally spawn almost right next to the in game player.

I don't mind when it happens every now and then because sometimes you'de realistically be around the corner from something, but when the majority of calls are around the corner and you press the party button to turn your lights on for about 15 seconds it tends to knock the wind out your sails.

This is true.   However, not sure if you remember the first launch of LSPDFR.  Most were all pursuit calls.  They would be on the next street over or perhaps 3 blocks away and they would get so far in front of you that it would take damn near 3 minutes to even a possibility of catching up to the pursuit if they didn't get away first.  We have indeed come a long way.

Please feel free to check out my straight to the point LSPDFR TUTORIALS / LSPDFR GAMEPLAY

It's definitely developed vastly since release, I remember posting a while back that all calls were pursuits that ended 9 times out of 10 on the LS docks going round in circles.
