ok i was wondering if you could get the els lights to be on when you use the vdh tow script. i put the f350 flatbed in the biff slot and in the els slot for police 4 i put the biff. i got every thing to work but when you call the tow truck lights are not on. i was wondering if there is a way to have the lights on when it shows up?

yes i mean if i get in it i can turn the lights on. so i was just wondering if there was a way when the tow service come to get a car is there a way to have it have the lights on?

UPDATE ok it got it guess it was my pc lol

i agree it needs a way to trigger els otherwise it wont work

If its not a cop it might not trigger ELS, and if the tow mod doesnt instruct the car to turn on els then you cant do it

Double check to see if you disabled AI ELS. Just a shot.

i tried it no luck

EDIT ok got the els working but it wont work when he comes to pick up the car

[ AMBULANCE ] <----Once pasted, you'll have two of the same things. Change one of the names to the vehicle YOU want enabled(such as the towtruck.) I think it's called steeder, anyways. It'll look like this: [ Steeder ] with all the colour options & etc. below it.

Active = 1

Halogen_Only = 0

Color_Light1L = 0

Color_Light2L = 0

(^^You get the point by now, LOL.)

As for the AI driving it, I don't think they'll turn the lights on, but you can.

i have that the lights work fine if i drive the truck. i just wan't them to be on when i call for a pick up

In that case, I don't think you can since it's not an emergency vehicle.

And just when I thought that I'm finished with tow script... :D Problem is I have no idea how ELS works and if there is a method to trigger lights on AI vehicles. Does it work with LCPD:FR backup police cars? If yes it is possible for sure, but I'll need some time to figure it out.

If ELS for the AI is active and you call in back up, the lights will be flashing on the ELS cars, however, if they are just driving by, their siren will only turn on while the lights remain in their "off" state or when the car spawned with some lights on a constant on

The ELS on police vehicles responding to backup is triggered by ELS itself, and not externally by another script. Unless you decompile ELS and add your own coding, you probably won't be able to get it to work.

ok this may be dum but why not talk to the person or people that made els and see if than can add some thing like this. does any one know how that would be? i'm thinking i know it should not have a siren but if it did then the car's would move out of it's way.

iread the els read me file and it gave credit to Lt.cain for the code and so i tryed to pm lt.cain over at gta police mods but his box is full. so does any one know iwere i could pm him at? it gave credit to policewag,bxbugs123,asuna
