I'm not concerened about playing with zombies, but even though no support is given for mods, is it possible to still mod the game? if not, there really is no point in getting the free version.

Unfortunately, you can't. Only the full version can be modded.

I just got ARMA 2 thanks to steam summer sale, and can't wait to try out Dayz if they say it's good or not. Also I like the mention the dayz mod haters, I wouldn't have bought ARMA 2 if it wasn't for Dayz, still doesn't mean am not going to try out the military shooter in the future.

I have decided to get this game as soon as I get a bit of spare cash.
