~30 FPS On Duty

Recommended Posts

So I just ran to my local electronics store and bought myself a brand-new EVGA GTX 1070 FTW upgrading from an r7 260X expecting my frames to be around 60. That is not the case. I’m getting about 30 fps and sometimes even lower than thirty. My old card ran around 20 frames which is only a 30 FPS upgrade. For a 500 dollar, 8GB card, I was expecting a little more...

I forgot to mention I even overclocked it to the max so....

There's really nothing that can be said other than, that's modded GTA for you.  My laptop cost over 1k, and for mostly all games, I'm getting 70-80 fps.  American Truck Sim with mods and high settings?  75-78 solid.  The newest Nascar?  100.  Modded GTA?  30, every single time I go on duty.  Off duty I'll get 65-70, but I also have a lot of scripts.

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂

Glad to hear I’m not the only one.

I have i5, GTX1070 (no OC), 16GB RAM and can get stable 60fps. (vsync on)

Please note that LSPDFR is a very CPU intensive mod, especially when you run a lot of plugins.

One last thing.  FYI, I'm running the older GTAV+RPH since the newer GTAV+RPH dragged down my FPS to 45-50.

With a lot of plugins running, it's more likely your CPU that would be the bottleneck and not your GPU.

I should add that I'm not saying you should buy a new CPU - it may or may not make a difference. Just pointing out that the calculations done by plugins are likely done on the CPU and therefore getting a new GPU probably wouldn't change their performance.

Probablys and likelys used because I'm not a developer and could be wrong.
