Do Albos mods drop FPS dramatically?

Featured Replies

I'm only running LSPDFR, ELS and Albos mods and boy, after I added Albos mods, the FPS dropped 20-30. Is that normal? I mean I see people on youtube playing the game with high FPS and running albos mods

The Youtubers you watch have pretty much the best rigs imaginable in order to run their games in amazing quality.  It has been proven that Albo's mods are all resource hogs, and are indeed the reason for the huge FPS loss.

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂

Has it? 🤔

My own extensive testing shows that, without lspdfr running, I get a steady 81 FPS in the city, dropping to 80 with LSPDFR and all my mods installed and running. This is confirmed by many others who face absolutely no FPS issues. I would suggest you include actual evidence and helpful information, such as which mod actually causes this for you for a start. A log would also be helpful.

After doing some research, I've found out my 1333mhz Ram and i5 are the Bottlenecks. It's mainly the arrest manager that causes big drop for me.... I will upgrade my PC soon tho

FPS drop is inevitable, especially if you installed a lot of plugins/callouts.

One more thing that I notice is if you're using latest GTAV patch (1290 or 1395) and latest RPH (0.62), it tends to drag your FPS further down.

That's literally impossible since LSPDFR alone means a loss of 5 fps. I have my game in an SSD, have a GTX 1080 and i7 6700k OC so an upgrade is out of the picture. With LSPDFR + your mods @Albo1125 the game goes from 70 to 55 fps. Mean no disrespect, your mods are awesome and if theres a way to have at least 60 I would be happy

Strange, I always use Albo's mods and have never noticed any real framerate loss from either them or LSPDFR.

My system specs:

Intel i7 6700K

Gigabyte Z270MX-Gaming5

16GB DDR4 1066MHz

Samsung 860 EVO 1TB SSD

Asus DUAL-GTX 1060 6GB @ 1080p

Asus VC239 Monitors (Triple Display)

@Albo1125 @elispd @Pazzi
Actually now that now that I re-installed LSPDFR from scratch as a desperate attempt to improve FPS, now I'm able to reach at least 55 (drops from 70 with Redux + NVR) but its stable, despite importing old .ini and .dll files... Does LSPDFR create clutter files over time? I have no clue what changed...

@elispd Best thing to do is just try things out and see what works for you.  If you can identify a mod that's causing you issues, then let the author know about this and hopefully they can help to fix it.

Absolutely no point in anyone playing the blame game here to state unequivocally that x is causing y.  Not the most responsible of things to do if you ask me, and I'm pretty sure nothing anywhere near related to this has actually been proven.

Regardless, anything you add to a game will surely have some sort of effect, big or small.

No. Sam and Cyan both have proven that base LSPDFR is as stable as can be.

@Giordano
Oh apologies. I mean plugins inserted inside LSPDFR aka those who initiate alongside with LSPDFR only. Yes the base mod has no FPS impact at all, this is proven. Everything goes wrong with plugins not with LSPDFR itself.
