From what I initially heard, Youtube was not "getting attacked", it was some crazy woman who was targetting her boyfriend.

 This is a stupid disaster and the woman involved could have handled this is many other healthier ways. I guess when her makeup tutorial lost its ads it was the straw that broke the camels back. Or crazy broads back..for that matter. Oh nevermind, apparently she was a vegan PETA animal nutjob with some odd ideological background. She also spoke Farsi and Turkish and had other channels. Immigrated from Iran, the usual stuff...-...lmao color me surprised. Nasim Aghdam is the dead dogs name. She sure does look like a normal non extremist to me. How about you?.

Turned out that she was not targeting any boyfriend. She was a vegan, animal activist who was allegedly angry for Youtube demonetizing her many videos on Youtube. That's the mainstream media's version of the story. Not sure why she shot the several people she did. She apparently did not know them. My biggest concern was how ABC7 kept emphasizing that the shooter was a 'white' woman. The anchor must have said a ton of times.. it was so odd to hear him keep belaboring that detail.

Her videos are atrocious. 

 

But she apparently did not know anyone at the Youtube HQ and had gone to a local range just prior to the attack.

Yeah, I saw that. Of course she was wrong when shooting them, but her points about YouTube was spot on, their censorship is destructive and very wrong.

I also find it ironic how YouTube stepped up security after the shooting, but suggest only gun control will make people safe, and we shouldn't secure schools better.

Totally agree. I have many friends who have had their videos demonetized and/or videos flat out removed. YouTube has become a huge entity (along with Google). And in many cases, I feel they bully certain YouTube channels if they don't agree with their philosophies or politics.

I've seen people who evaluate police shootings be demonitized just because they are trying to have an unbiased and fair evaluation of a body cam for example. I see the exact same body cam footage on other YouTube pages get monizied if it is anti-police or has baity titles on it inciting race.

Exactly. You have to include some scantily clad attractive female in it, in order to get Youtube to leave it alone.

The YouTube shooter's ab workout was taken down for "inappropriate" behavior, but Nikki Minaj has full monetization as she twerks the entire time.

Yeah, it's the double standard that leftism is allowed to have. Dennis Prager posts these great 5 minute videos that discuss politics and our popular social topics and yet he gets a few of his videos demonetized and yanked from Youtube while people post horribly disturbing videos on their site.

This. Being Conservative or Republican in todays political climate is considered White Nationalism / Nazism. Youtube is unfair with their services but since they are a privately owned company they can do whatever they want legally. It is what it is. 

'Leftists' aren't arguing less for gun control because it was a woman, that's just made up. Its being talked about less because no one died. Its literally a less important news story than the recent mass shootings where 10+ people have died.

I never mentioned gun control, but whatever. The media doesn't prioritize things based upon number of casualties, when a criminal who resisted is shot by police it is on the news all day long, but when a couple of cops or firefighters die its only on for an hour or two. They put stories that make people angry, debatable, and excited in a sense. What are you opinions on gun control anyways? Most people who are calling for gun control have 0 understanding of how firearms work.
