Ford Police Utility/Sedan Engine Sound Mod Alternative

Featured Replies

I've always wanted to use an engine sound mod that sounds like the FPIU and Sedan, however, there doesn't seem to be any to be found. I've attempted to create a sound mod before using YouTube videos of these vehicles accelerating, but they never turned out because GTA would mess with the sounds. They would sound distorted and unclear. Instead, I've been using the "Benefactor Schwartzer" in-game engine sound, and I think it sounds pretty close to the FPIU/Sedan. For those who haven't heard it before, I created a short video demonstrating the sound.

All you have to do is go to your vehicles.meta file and locate the vehicle you want to modify, and change the "<audioNameHash> tag line to "<audioNameHash>schwarzer</audioNameHash>".

Hopefully some of you find this useful!

"Please, put it in park, will ya?" "LSPD, see the lights, pullover." "Stop the vehicle, we need to have a little chat!" "Get in the car and keep your mouth shut." "You have the right to absolutely nothing." "The damn gun is jammed!"

But doesn't changing the AudioNameHash of any Emergency vehicle force the normal GTA V radio to constantly play? I can't seem to shut it off with my ELS enabled cars. Do you know how to fix this by any chance?

Yes you're right about the music. I've just gotten used to it but you can always shut it off in the game settings.

Yeah that turns the game silent lol. I wish there was a way we could shut down the radio of the police car only without turning off the whole game's music.

Thanks tho bro
