The Police Buffalo [V] is pretty much done. I may have an issue with one of the doors or seats but I haven't been able to confirm it yet. I might message it out to a few testers for any final suggestions and to find any bugs.

Police Buffalo [V] (original, vector-style lightbar), Police Buffalo [s/M] (randomised slicktop + MX7000 lightbar), then probably the Taurus and/or revisiting the Vincent for some touchups.

In terms of bigger projects, the Rebla is still sitting in its work folder waiting to be UV-mapped again but I always manage to bugger it up. Then I dunno, it depends what there's demand for and what I have time for.

I'm hoping that Taurus comes along. Seeing as how the CVPI is no longer being manufactured, I'd like to keep LCPD up to date as well. =)

Is there now any mod that has VAPID Cruiser with grill/pushbar ligths in addition to sun visor lights?

Or maybe a marked cruiser with more than just a lightbar lights?

And having models where also unmarked cars spawn is not a problem since many depts have added lightbars to their unmarked ones, thus leading into plain colored cars with lightbars, nothing odd there.

I have two main gripes now,

First being this, as you can see, the lights aren't visible to the rear. Only to the player, whose view is from upward angle. However, when you are looking directly from behind, for example driving a car after this model, you can't see the emergency lights. They are too low behind the trunk door. In this picture, they are covered by that arcing trunk, from both sides.

Second of all, is it possible to have more lights into this model? The amount of lights is 8 that are allowed to every car, this has only four. Maybe a set of lights two the mirror and rear window, to the sides of the traffic advisor?

Picture of the problem:

If you completely read through this thread, you would have seen that Ekalb had already released another version of the slick top vapid with another set of lights behind the windshield, thus making six lights total. He hasn't done anything about the rear deck lights since no one has addressed it up until you. I'm not sure what Ekalb will do since he has dubbed the slick top complete and already has a few cars in the works as well as requests standing by; not to mention he has classes to focus on.

I think its time you change the thread title to:

Ekalb's Thread of Impressive Mods

Processor: Intel i5-6600 @ 3.30GHz

GPU: MSI ARMOR GeForce GTX 1080 OC

Ram: 16GB Skylake

The thing with the Vapid rear-lights is that you really do not notice anything being wrong until you drive behind one for some while. Took me a while.

Neither did I find a download for the Vapid that has front lights in the windshield too.

Ekalb, could you merge both Vincent variants to make one that's either slicktop or regular? FS Streethawk has only 4 lights, so I think it would be possible...

Ah sorry! Modding has only managed to grab a tiny bit of my time this week. I've fixed a few issues that were identified in the Buffalo beta test regarding the front-side window collisions. I still can't figure out how I can get the lightbar glass to break so if I don't figure it out I might just put the model out as is which shouldn't be a major problem. Bare with me, won't be too far away.

To make the glass break assign the col vertex to id 136 - 138.

Otherwise import a glass col file and modifie it.

Thanks f5544, I gave that a go and exported to test and I still can't seem to get the bloody glass on the lightbar to break. I've got some time now ti the pressure from uni dying down a bit so my plan is to release the Vector Buffalo tonight, and hopefully with some assistance from f5544 I'll release the mx7000/slicktop version soon too.

I will take a look for the breaking glass. Pm me the link? I will check it tomorrow.

Hi, if anyones interested I've made a few skins for ekalbs vapid cruiser. I have x2 CHP x5 LAPD and x1 Sherrifs.

I take no credit for the skins, they are all edits(originally for the CVPI), the CHP's were from Sharp Command(I have his permission) 4 of the LAPD skins are from cj24(I am still waiting for his ok, so i wont be uploading anything till i have it) the 5th lapd skin and the sherrifs skin had no credits with them?.

Let me know what you think. I'm not great at this, so they are a bit rough around the edges :)

They look pretty sweet evilhomer, good stuff.

Okay here's where I am at the moment. I'm on a brief break from uni for the next week so I'm hoping to at least release the Vector Buffalo and hopefully the slicktop/lightbar Buffalo too. I'm currently in contact with f5544 to see what he can teach me and to see if we can make the glass for the vector lightbar breakable. Other than that it is ready to go.

LCPD Vector-Style Buffalo is ready to go.

It's just waiting approval at this stage.

Essentially it's very similar to the police3 Buffalo from EFLC but it has livery support and some slight changes to what's inside the vehicle, as well as the functioning traffic bar.

So my project status:

  • Randomised lightbar setup Buffalo - Currently talking to another modder about if he'd be interested in providing a lightbar or two. Once I've determined which I'll use it shouldn't take long.
  • Unmarked Flashpoint-esque Landstalker - A 'just-for-fun' project really. It has all the (non-ELS) lighting equipment that it needs, just could do with some miscellaneous adjustments and I might fit some interesting content into the boot compartment.
  • Unmarked Ford Taurus - This was also really a 'just-for-fun' project. It currently has some issues that need correcting but I'm not 100% decided on if I'll make it a priority.
