How to fix online issue

Featured Replies

Hello there, I am new to this website but I thought I let everyone know that you can play normal online GTA and still have LSPDFR installed. What you need to do is go to the GTA directory and move the dinput8.dll file to desktop DO NOT delete it as you need to move it back again. When you want to play LSPDFR again the move the dinput8.dll file back into GTA V directory and should be good to go just launch it through ragehook  and away you go.

I found out  this my self as I was having trouble playing GTA V online as it was saying modified version of GTA V and quit the session, so I thought that I would share this, sorry if people already knew this but I don't know about it. I have attached some screen shots as well for you to look at of the file that needs moving to a different location.

Enjoy

Well, you can move the dinput8.dll anywhere. By doing This you can play online because when you delete or move dinput8.dll from GTA V main directory it disconnects GTA V from using mods, but it can also corrupt your game data if you have edited files with OpenVI. Anyway this post is good.

Ask me for any help and I will help you.

If you want me to help you in creating mods. then just text me.

Yeah this is what I was trying to point out that's what dinput8 does :) I trying to explain to people basically how to fix gta modified version etc and what to do... I can only hope that this will help a few people that are frustrated like I was.

I'm not sure how the GTA V Online mod/cheat detection software works but this method sounds way too risky for me. Instead I just copy/pasted a clean GTA V folder and modded that one, so I have two copies installed, one modded and one completely un touched. If GTA V Online ever scanned my game files while online and found LSPDFR and all it's plugins, I'd be banned.

Not saying the OP's method isn't safe because I don't really know, but I'd rather be safe than sorry when dealing with Rockstar.

I've been playing GTA Online using this method for forever with no issues, there really isn't anything to worry about. Hell, Rockstar doesn't even detect the actual mods that do affect Online. If they did there wouldn't be a modder in every single session.

I'm not really sure where you're getting this info. All removing dinput is doing is stopping asi files from loading. Since OpenIV.asi isn't loading, your mods folder won't load. Putting dinput back in will make OpenIV.asi load again, and your mods folder will load. If you have your mods all in a mods folder, then removing dinput will allow you play on the vanilla game.

I understand where you are coming from but I have tried this method and works fine online for me but when I replace it back in it wont allow me to go online comes up with a error message saying modified  version. I cant be bothered to copy another gta v one so I just do this instead and works wonders so far for me.
