I'm curious what cars everyone uses in their game. Do you try to get all of your cars to be a certain theme like LAPD and LASD? Or do you just go for a mix of whatever looks the best? I'm torn between trying to keep all my vehicles from the same department for realism sake or just loading up whatever looks good, even if that means having like 3 or 4 different departments cars and liverys in one town. LSPDFR has brought out the worst in my OCD, heh.

I try to keep it relatively simple. Custom cars spawning in maybe 6 jurisdictions. And highway patrol of course. 

I prefer lore friendly skins and setups. There are so many different skins out there that I usually play for 2-3 weeks and update the skins if I find another pack that fits.

Yeah I use CustomBackup and have set up some of my own custom entries, but I've kind of put a hold on customizing that anymore until I figure out what I'm doing with my cars/liveries. I wouldn't mind a solid LAPD/LASD setup, but we'll see. So many options! Good problem to have I suppose.

Yeah it’s a kind of luxury :)

It never gets boring. My next step is to make a new MirrorPark fleet thanks to Pricefield. That fpiu looks really good.

I heard of a certain LAPD/LASD pack that keeps popping up and then disappearing again, so I'm waiting for it to show up again so I can snag it before he pulls it again. I wouldn't mind a solid fleshed out LAPD/LASD theme. But until then I'm gonna have to try some others I think. Feels weird to have like a Chicago PD CVPI and then like a Miami FPIU or whatever, all mixed and matched, so I'm trying to come up with a theme here.

I go for one theme for each department.  LSPD is blue and white, Sheriff's department is brown, highway patrol is black/white/all white (multi liveries) and state patrol is a different variation of blue/white.  I despise the lore friendly stuff, so always try to make my stuff look unique.

 

Honestly, asking us for what we use isn't really going to help you.  What it ultimately comes down to is what you want and are happy with.  It's your game, do with it as you please.  It doesn't have to be lore friendly or realistic just because of how another person's game is.

Fair enough, I just meant it's your game.  Cater it to what you would want your personal police experience to be like. :)

See that's the problem. I just don't know what I want! Too many options, so I was picking other peoples brain for their personal taste to see if it's something I'd be interested in. With so many choices now, it can be overwhelming, especially when you're as OCD as I am, heh. I did stumble upon an old post from August that you contributed to where you linked several car packs, that helped quite a bit, I may play around with those as well. I guess "Packs" is what I should be looking for then eh? They seem to include several models with a common livery/theme. Easier than looking for individual models that match that "theme" you're after.

I use the Vehicles included with RDE.

They shit all over the Rockstar ones.

I might look at RDE as I've seen the term used in various mods, mostly those that have RDE and Non-RDE versions, though I'm not 100% sure what it is. It seemed like an online mod or something, but I could be wrong. I'll have to look again.

Well dang. That looks like an LSPDFR complete overhaul. How is it on the FPS hit, and how well does it play with mods like PoliceSmartRadio, TrafficPolicer, etc, etc, basically all of Albo's mods?

I don't use any of Albo's Mods in my Game. (Sorry Albo. Please don't Sue me!) You'd need to ask another person for their take on it.

It works well with Alex_Ashfold's EUP derivatives; L&O, and S&R.

Apart from some other Script Mods, my Game is effectively Stock.

FPS is fine in my case.

Well I appreciate the information, I'll deff be taking a look at RDE. Though I'm not sure how I'll live without TrafficPolicer, and Arrest Manager! Though you didn't say one way or the other whether or not they conflict, so I might still be able to use those. We'll see. But reading the RDE "Features" it almost sounds too good to be true and I don't see any reason why anyone playing LSPDFR would play without RDE. Hmmm. I'd like to hear the opposition ;)

I think you may have it a bit wrong.

RDE is not meant to 'compete' against any of those. It's basically an Unofficial Community Made DLC/Patch designed to completely rebuild the Law Enforcement, Military, and Emergency Services in the Game.

No more fugly POLICE Liveries, no more LSSD Patrolling Blaine County...

Just to add, RDE does have some nice features, but it's not for everyone.  I have never used it and never will.

Why would you never use it? Just reading the features it sounds like a solid package with some more realistic features. I'm curious as to why you don't like them, or feel you don't think it is a good addition to LSPDFR.

It's a good addition to LSPDFR, but not for my game.  I prefer to manually install everything, and from what I saw in the RDE download, it automatically does it, which is a no-no.  On top of this, RDE requires a fresh mods folder.  My game is fully modded out, there's no way I'm doing a fresh mods folder.  Maybe someday when I'm forced to update Rage/GTA I'll try RDE just to see.

 

My Fire Department trucks I use can be found here with links to where I got them all. Also already got the clear glass issue fixed on the squad. It has its own video elsewhere. 

As for my PD I am currently still rocking the Halloween pack 

Most of my vehicles are from the downloads those skins work on.
