ok i have a hp windows 7 64 bite 4gb ram with 500 gb hard drive with a gtx 560 with 2 gb and a gddr5 memory that allows me to superclocked+55 mhz. the processor on my computer is a amd atnonx2 215 2.70 ghz. i am looking at a amd phenom x4 9500 2.2 ghz quad core how much better is it. thanks for any help

2.) Don't waste your money on a Phenom from 5 years ago. And how would stepping down your clock speed possibly help you? Simple math, man.

The phenoms aren't that bad, I bought one about six month's ago, especially after reading the price of some of the bulldozers.

I have a Phenom II X4 955BE. It's okay. It was great in 2009, but now all the i7's and even some i5's leave it in the dust, and the clock speed is getting low by todays standards. What the OP posted though was actually a Phenom I.

Oh, I thought it was a phenom II, which is what I bought, the 960T Black Ed, to be precise.

I recently bought a AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE Deneb, Running at 4 Ghz now its still playing all the games!, With my GTX570 i can play every game like BF3 at max.

So its still a great cpu aldo the 955 is a bit older

They're the same chip, they just bumped the clock speed. Like I said, it's okay. But I wouldn't buy one at this point.
