So while trying to launch my game I get an error that says rsg.verify. My open iv has everything installed and I do not know what to do. I have looked everywhere to try to fix this and I can not find anything. Please help, thank you

If you do not have the steam version you can verify your game files by doing the following.

  1. Hit "Start", "Run", and type "cmd" without the quotes. Hit enter.
  2. Type "cd c:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V" without the quotes in the cmd window that pops up. Hit enter.
    • Note: If you’ve installed the game to a different directory, enter that directory instead.
  3. Type "GTAVLauncher.exe -verify" in this window (no quotes again) and hit enter.

Well, if verifying didn't work, do a clean reinstall of the game. Delete every instance of GTA this is on your computer. Once you have deleted EVERY INSTANCE (can't stress that enough) go into steam and reinstall.

maybe look into an issue before telling people to just reinstall?

Have you got a mods folder in your game folder? If so, have any of them modified .meta files at all?
