What police/crime shows do you watch?

I've been watching a lot of live pd and I'm from tulsa OK so it was a big deal to see my city on there. Blue bloods is great as well but I would like to see a tulsa police mod if we could make that happen. Add a couple of marked cars and some unmarked cars as well.

    Cops>PD

  • Third Watch (1999-2005) is still probably my favorite police procedural show.  Blue Bloods is literally unwatchable if you even have a vague understanding of how things actually work, not to mention t

- NYPD Blue - mostly the first two seasons,

- Homicide: Life on the Street - for everyone who'd like to have some realistic experience of the world of detectives, it's even more interesting after reading Simon's book,

- Law & Order - the first 2 or 3 seasons of the very first show aired in 90's,

- The First 48 Hours - documentary, homicide cases from around the States,

- Southland,

- The Wire,

- Third Watch,

- Miami Vice - it shows the tactics behind undercover operation, except of that it's a beautiful show,

- Kojak,

- old 'analog' Cops.

Like a month ago a friend suggested me The Shield series... It was an eye-opener, I have no clue how did I miss it in the past.

Basically it's a several-season story of a LAPD strike team in a fictitious version of Rampart. Filmed in 2002-2008, it reminded me of The Wire and IMO is better than SouthLand (I like 'em old and grainy, with huge cell phones and rotating beacons). I might be wrong, but I absolutely liked the characters. From the beginning they looked like your ordinary tough corrupt cop, an honest captain and an idealist black gay cop from the neighborhood, but the impression broke apart after a few episodes. I hardly remember any series where I changed my opinion on characters so fast, and that's good (however I strongly identify myself with Dutch - a slightly weird arrogant guy with self-esteem like a mountain, who sometimes is a great detective and who has incredibly back luck with girls ).

After season 3 it gets kinda repetitive... But if you like this stuff I believe it'll keep you entertained.

The Shield was such an amazing show! I loved it.  Need to rewatch at some point,

I need donations to help fund my food addiction. DM for details 😂
