wait i think i have another update for gta. i tried to play it via steam and it said updating

now steam is saying it will launch gta 5 in 6 hours?.....

Of what?  Your Grand Theft Auto V directory, so we can see exactly what's going on. If you have all the files installed correctly.  Geek Squad will not help you with GTA V modding.

 

We cannot help you with just the little bits of information you've provided alone. We need to see.

You can only have one Grand Theft Auto V folder in your Steam directory at a time.  Move the ones you aren't using someplace else.  The Grand Theft Auto V folder in your Steam directory must be named Grand Theft Auto V

 

It cannot have Grand Theft Auto V - copy.

The only reason it would keep updating is if a file was deleted or missing.  As long as these updates aren't hindering your ability to launch/play, I'd say let it.

Yes you do. :)  You need to get to a point where you can actually free roam and don't have to go somewhere to advance the prologue.

Yep!  Whenever you want to play the game normally, just launch via Steam/GTA 5.exe.  Then your mods will no longer be loaded.  That said, your trainer will still work.  So if you wanted to cheat your way through the story you could.

no im not into the inappropriate stuff on story mode. all i like ti do is dream i have lspdfr and all i do on on line is mess around with my friends. there for i dont know how story mode works. is there i way i can save the game after i complete the prologue?

Yes, go to the character's home and sleep in their bed.

 

For the record, modding is not "inappropriate".  Rockstar and Take Two don't like modding, but there's nothing wrong with it as long as you only mod single player.  Mods like LSPDFR are what help keep GTA V alive.  GTA Online alone is not reason enough to play GTA V.
