Ford might be discontinuing the Taurus. Barely any civilians bought them, and most departments haven't gotten them yet.

They're fast, but they can't shake the reputation of being high maintenance.

@TheSandwichStealer: I actually like the 2015+ Dodge Chargers. When I'm making good money, I'd like to get the Scat Pack with the 392 HEMI, particularly in plum crazy purple.

Cars aren't made by internet petitions and if you think they do then you probably shouldn't be trusted with such decisions anyway.

The sedan segment has been suffering in the first place, large SUV's and crossovers are killing sedans. Even the Ford Taurus is on the edge of being discontinued. I don't mean to crush your dreams, but I highly doubt they'd ever bring it back other than the nameplate itself.  I also highly doubt they'd listen to an online petition. 

 

 

This is a good idea and needs to be suggested: take that old V8 out drop a V6 in, make it a bit smaller and newer and make it fuel efficient. Ford will sell a lot of those. Maybe even turbo/supercharge that V6 for Interceptors.

I don't get the obsession with Vics, at all. They are good cars, but not god cars, certainly not the best around.  As time progresses, new vehicles will come out that have adapted to the change in time and will be significantly better.  The Vics had their glory, now it's time for the torch to be passed.  Creating an online petition for something so insignificant is really just a waste of time.  Ford isn't going to look at a petition and go "Yeah, lets bring these back just to appease the law enforcement enthusiasts."

 It's called the Ford Taurus. Either way all the blueprints and body molds for the old Vic are destroyed, at least that's what I heard a while ago.
