I've finished ported the old review enhancement system back to the current system. Two long missed functionalities have returned as a result!

This took so long because our old system had to be integrated into the new version of our board software, as well as the new version of our download system (you'd be surprised how much the code has changed and been cleaned up and optimized)!

 

Responding to Reviews

Reviews can seem a little one-sided. The 'Respond' button allows the author to add their opinion or comments to a review.

It's as simple as pressing the 'Respond' button next to a review, this can be found next to the 'Report' button.

It should be noted that reviews aren't discussion threads. Only one review can be left per user on a file, and only one response per review.

 

You'll be presented with a page to leave a response.

 

After leaving your response, your response will be shown next to the review, giving a more balanced outlook.

The user will receive a notification their review has been responded to.

 

 

Review Versioning

We've started recording the version of a mod that a review was left for, if we have data, it will be shown next to the time that the review was left. This allows people to see that the situation may have changed since then. We're still working on allowing users to delete and change their reviews when a new version has been released, this should come in the coming days!

 

Old Data

If you previously used these systems when they were on the site, the old data has been migrated into the new system, so all old review responses and versions will be visible.
