Hey guys, I recently got EFLC, as far I could have seen, it performances much better than GTA IV (since my computer run it pretty good with almost everything at max settings), so before starting modding it I would like to know how EFLC run with mods (if it's faster than GTA IV).

And since I guess EFLC also has traffic bug, I'd like to know if Traffic Control System is compatible with EFLC.

In my opinion EFLC copes better with mods. If I use high textures in GTA IV without mods, I still get texture bug, but EFLC seem to be coping with it a lot better, even though it has car mods installed.

What's TCS? alot of mod's ARE compatible with EFLC, i think EFLC can handle more mods then IV, but the setup is way more screwed up lol

But,er...doncha think EFLC's got a way less FPS than GTA:IV? I was always disturbed by the fact,but I still use EFLC despite this disadvantage because of its stability.

I get about the same FPS on IV and EFLC, and both seem to take mods with stability, although the game seems to load textures slower in EFLC rather than IV.

Hey, I want to know if you can add mods to EFLC if you download it thought Windows LIVE Marketplace? I want to know because I am planning on buying it though LIVE marketplace because its cheaper than buying the disk version.

@bucky16 You don't want to do that, buying EFLC from Windows live Marketplace is not a good move. I brought it from the marketplace for like twenty dollars and it turns out to be just a add on. The files are encoded so it's a hassle trying to mod the game, you'll have to find a tool to decode the files. I don't even know if that tool is even out there. I was mad that I wasted twenty dollars on a encoded EFLC. Best thing to do is just buy it off of Amazon, it's cheap. Only eight dollars for the retail pc dvd brand new.

Really? I didn't know that you took a performance hit on EFLC. I guess I am lucky, then, or maybe my GTA IV is not performing up to par!

Ok. But does anyone else know if there is a decoder to decode the files? I just prefer to download it though LIVE. It's just my preference.

Edit: Would a decrypter or a file unlocker work also? I found some and I want to know if they will work as well.

What do you mean? So is it bad to get EFLC because it won't work well? But I thought it is a good idea to get it because you can add more police vehicles and such.

@bucky16 The file unlocker only works for patch 1.1.1.0, you can download it from market place but you will need to update it to patch 1.1.2.0 in order for the files to be no longer encrypted.

Oh good! So the newest patch for EFLC has all the files unlocked and not encrypted? If thats what you mean, than thats good news for me! That will mean I'm getting EFLC soon! But why did you say that the files would be encrypted in the first place?

I had to reinstall EFLC recently and the files were encrypted, my version was a old patch which means that all old patches of EFLC is encrypted. Soon as I updated to patch 1.1.2.0 the files were no longer encrypted.
