LCPDFR corrupt download file...?

Featured Replies

I've been working backwards all day to figure out why LCPDFR won't work for me.

I've used it in the past, probably a year or two ago, and had no issues.

Basically, hitting alt-p ingame does nothing.

So I've had to work backward to find out why the mod doesn't work.

What it looks like is that the files are a complete mess, and either the download link does not include all of the required files, or it has the incorrect ones...

-Fresh GTAIV steam install.

-Game has been downgraded to 1.0.7.0

-Used LCPDFR exe file to install mod, launched as administrator.

-Specified DSOUND ASI Loader only

-Directed to Steam/SteamApps/common/Grand Theft Auto IV/GTAIV

Yet every time I run the diagnostic, it states that it is missing crucial files and that the install is corrupt.

Yet it looks like the files are all there.

Does the installer have the wrong files...?

Or are there extra steps that I'm missing to download the missing ones?

The same thing happens if I try the manual installation as well.

Please refrain from posting LCPDFR support in the LSPDFR section. Also, the most recent update of GTA IV has corrupted ScriptHook and ScriptHookDotNet making mods no longer playable. I recommend converting to GTA 5 if able.

Wait I do now see that you have downgraded, how exactly did you downgrade?

Also, in the auto installer, select XLIVELESS instead of DSOUND.

Tried it with XLIVELESS instead of DSOUND.

Same issue.

Think the download files are just corrupt. When was the last time LCPDFR's download files were checked...?

As for the downgrade, I used an old patch from Rockstar's website to downgrade my GTA IV.

It is indeed the correct version.

I don't want to use GTA V because I was hoping to play LCPDFR in multiplayer on GTA IV, and don't want my GTA Online character to get banned.

I doubt that G17 has checked the LCPDFR files recently because of the increased traffic of LSPDFR. Try and get out to Sam or some moderator that can speak with an admin to check the download. You could also download an older version of LCPDFR to make sure the files are corrupted and it is not your game.

Found old version of LCPDFR, 1.0a and 1.0b

1.0b displays the same error yet again.

1.0a doesn't have the diagnostic tool, but I can only guess that it won't work either.

If the issue is somehow on my end, I have no idea what could possibly be causing this.

This is a fresh install of GTA IV downgraded to the 1.0.7.0 patch with zero mods on it.

From here I have absolutely no idea where to go. It looks like I just can't play this mod anymore.

The only other thing I can tell you is to downgrade to .95... Sorry I couldn't be of that much help man. I exceed in LSPDFR.

As I said, I would be more than happy to play LSPDFR on GTA V, but then I would be running the very high risk of being banned from Rockstar's servers if I try to play online, even if I stuck to private servers.

Yeah, singleplayer is an option, but I was hoping to convince a friend to download the mod so we could both play it.

I even had to buy him a gift copy of GTA IV only to find out LCPDFR just doesn't work...

And yeah, 1.0a was the same story. Started the game up and nothing happened when I pressed ALT-P...

Well, I tried LCPDFR .95 and it worked just fine.

Looks like the issues are all from recent versions of the mod.

You can't play LSPDFR online by the way.

I've also moved your topic to LCPDFR support

Yep, I knew it had nothing to do with your game. Everything was installed correctly. G17 need to update their mod files. Glad to help! If you could like my posts, that'd be a huge help to me!

Even with FiveM or GTA Coop?

Yeah. LSPDFR only works in single player, As it's designed to do. No third-party online mod will get LSPDFR to work in Online

Well, then I'm wondering how people were able to get LSPDFR to run in GTA Coop servers on Youtube.

It didn't look like they were faking it.

Its easy, but against for copyright. However, don't use lcpdfr dsound/asi loader. Use the default from the trainer itself. Make sure the files of lcpdfr contents and scripts installed.

You don't need xboxliveless. Yes you can play online. That's your risk of doing so, if you do play privately. When you downgrade you can only play privately.

Can you contact my privately? I can help.

Also. Laptop or desktop? And original or EFLC. Thx

He is talking about LSPDFR not LCPDFR. We've gotten the LCPDFR problem fixed.
