Hey guys, I'm new to the modding community and don't know anything about computers and files and all that. I've managed to figure out how to get cars into the game but I've been trying for a week to get ELS to work. Some cars I put into the game it just turns the siren on and no lights and other cars it turns the siren on and the lights come on and stay on but don't flash. If that makes any sense. I'm beyond frustrated, anyone have any directions on what to do? 

Spencer, go into your ELS settings (config file) turn the ones you want on to on. The file should be in your gtaiv directory under ELS, or ELS config settings.

Do you know which ones need to be on? I'm lost reading these...........

For my settings, I have Police 1,2,3, FBI on. Ambulance on, POLPatriort on.

I have everything turned on and the lights are still frozen. I have reinstalled els about a million times. 

I'm having the same issue. I also cannot open the ELS control panel. Whenever I hit ctrl M it just sends ambulances... Need help here. I can't get any of the lights to work. 

Some vehicles are not ELS enabled. Make sure your downloading ELS Enabled vehicles

Go to the LCPDFR folder, then open the LCPDFR.ini. Change 

 

'RequestAmbulance=M
RequestAmbulanceModifierKey=ControlKey' 

 

To what ever you wish. The modifier key is the Ctrl key, M is the M key. (Hence CTRL+M).
