can not play lspdfr when the website is down?

Featured Replies

Hello

When ever this website is down I can not load lspdfr. Gta 5 loads fine but when I force duty lspdfr freezes and then crashes (gta 5 does not crash). This isn't a technical support request more of thread to find out what causes this and if it happens to others.

This has been occurring for me as long as I can remember. It works every single time but when I got to this website and I see that it is down, lspdfr never loads.

Is this a feature implemented? I can not think what would cause it as It has occurred when ever the website is down from as long as I can remember. Even with different mods installed and even different gta 5 installations.

Unrelated. You could play LSPDFR even if your internet connection was down.

Yeah that is what I thought. I swear every single time this website is down I can not go on duty. As soon as the website is back up it works. I have even sat there trying and trying aswell as refreshing the website every couple of minutes when it is down to test it and it works when is is back up.

I am not crazy I swear haha. Like I said it has happened every time in the past as well. This is very strange.

That is very strange then. I don't doubt you at all as I see your "flair" under your name. Next time it occurs I will make sure to record it. Their is something mentioned in the ragehook console about a server error or something ( can not remember off the top of my head). I have checked all my logs but the log for when it occurs does not seem to be recorded. It only shows the previous session of playing. I record lspdfr but I only start the recording once I have set my character up and trainer settings etc. but now I will record from as soon as gta 5 launches to catch it (also will be good for future bugs with plugins and stuff).

Thanks for confirming that nothing is in the code. I am as stumped as you are.

It happened again a few hours ago, this time I managed to record it. It might not be related to LSPDFR itself, it could be caused by a mod I am not sure. As it has occurred as long as i can remember over each individual installations of gta 5 and different mods. In the log Line 448 is where the "server" error starts. I am not familiar on how to understand some of the technical terms in the log so excuse my ignorance. Hence I am not going to speak what I don't know about.

Do you suggest using this thread to get assistance or make a new thread with the log and video?

Same thing happened to me website down so I load GTA V (no problem) load LSPDFR (no problem) force duty and it crashes. Website comes back online I can play no problems. May be just coincidence, weird though for sure.

Wow, I wonder what causes it. It has not really been an issue except the past month when the website was being targeted. I am happy to work with people to find out the cause and a solution as this has got me curious.

I managed to find out what causes it. The mod "Keep Calm" seems to check the lspdfr website when its loaded for any updates. When the website is down for whatever reason the plugin causes a timeout crash. I am glad I found it out but I also feel so stupid as when you go into the mod pages comment section there are reports about it :(
