Your Adware detection sucks

Featured Replies

Which version of Chrome and which plugins are you running? A list of the plugins installed would be helpful.

And just as a side note, I understand that it is frustrating that you are experiencing an issue with our website - But, the website is free, we who maintain it work for free. Just straight up saying it "sucks" isn't very constructive. I'm sure that if we find an issue, we can solve it, but right now we need more information from you.

Please fix it, thank you!

I'm using basic Chrome with AdBlock as well and I don't have a single problem, you might want to consider that the problem is on your side :)

Besides, this website is free as it was said, just like the many, many mods on it with people spending their free time to provide us with nice things we don't have to pay for, all that because (thanks to) advertisement. I'm not a big fan of it either, I'm using AdBlock, but I won't complain if one day I see an ad slipping through, it's not that much of a big deal really :)

@RalFingerLP problem may actually be one of your other plugins/extensions being picked up as a 'false positive' I use AdBlockPlus so naturally get the AdBlocker warning, but if I disable ABP and refresh, the warning goes away. There may be one of your plugins/extensions that has code in common with standard AdBlocker scripts, that is being detected by lcpdfr.com's detection. I'm not sure exactly what things lcpdfr.com looks for to detect AdBlockers, so not sure what types of plugins are likely to be the culprit.

Sorry, this is something we're working on. Please note that the detection being triggered does not in anyway disable or prevent LCPDFR.com from being used.

Adblock currently blocks the entire g17media.com domain (?), and we use the inability to load this as indication that adblock is enabled. This can also be triggered by something like NoScript or our request to g17media.com for some reason being interrupted.

I'm having the same problem, also running bare Chrome with just ABP and whether its on or off I get the Ad blocking software detected message. However, I only get it if I'm not in the Forums, when I'm within the Discussion & Community section it's not there but as soon as I go to Mods or something it else it shows it.

I don´t get the point of your whole response, I am not using any kind of adware blocker and you should have taken a look on the screenshot provided, you can see 3 ads visible on the site, so I am doing my part. Do you?
