Now that's a beautiful piece of machinery right there. I would love to get my hands on one of those but no department around here even has Crown Victoria's anymore and any on craigslist all have had 22s or some other freakishly large rims put on it at one time.

Ford should've revamped the Crown Victoria with a new engine and transmission and then brought the interior and features up to date instead of creating that sad excuse known as the "Ford Police Interceptor" and it's ugly cousin the "Ford Police Interceptor Utility" god why?

It depends on the year and condition and how much money you're looking to spend. If you do some digging, you can find maybe a nice 2003-2005 model for about 3k. 1998-2002 models go for cheap, but there's a few problems with them. Newer models, 2006-2011 are going to cost significantly more, most likely. but you may get lucky and find one for cheap. you'll have to check with your importing service for prices. I'd expect to spend around 9-10k.

^ I always love the enthusiasm and crowds those videos seem to draw.  The actual cars usually have equipment that is completely incorrect for the department they're trying to go for if they're trying to emulate a specific one, but the effort is nice nonetheless.  (Check out that "NYPD" Caprice at 4:18. Haha.)

Well actually that is a movie prop for the Hungarian movie industry. It has magnetic decals and a few other lightbars. There is an almost authentic LAPD Caprice and some CrownVic taxis. ( Note the ,,USA,, set :) )

You're best of buying one that's already in Europe than importing yourself. I've looked into it and it costs around €18,000 (insurance, transport, duty, import VAT, etc), and then you have the added hassle of finding someone in the US willing to sell you one. 

 

Check eBay. There's a few here in the UK selling for around £9,000 - £12,000 because people import them and then realise the upkeep is way too expensive.
