JSO reacted to purplepotatoes14 in The Official Crown Victoria ThreadWell I might as well show my 2009 CVPI. It was a former RCMP vehicle in my province. I love driving it everyday!

JSO got a reaction from FCV96 in The Official Crown Victoria ThreadAt least it's not replacing the transmission I own two P71s a 2003 and a 2008 and have had to replace the transmission in both of them. If you end up having to replace the part check your local junkyard I'm sure they have some Crown Vics and the price will be much cheaper. Hopefully though it'll just clean up P71s are very finicky cars but, they're absolutely amazing to drive no other car like them. I'll attach some pictures of my two Vics the white one is my 2003 and the Blue and Gray is my 2008.

JSO got a reaction fromDeactivated Memberin The Official Crown Victoria ThreadFord should've revamped the Crown Victoria with a new engine and transmission and then brought the interior and features up to date instead of creating that sad excuse known as the "Ford Police Interceptor" and it's ugly cousin the "Ford Police Interceptor Utility" god why?
-
JSO reacted toDeactivated Memberin The Official Crown Victoria ThreadIt's a sad lonely world.

JSO got a reaction fromDeactivated Memberin The Official Crown Victoria ThreadNow that's a beautiful piece of machinery right there. I would love to get my hands on one of those but no department around here even has Crown Victoria's anymore and any on craigslist all have had 22s or some other freakishly large rims put on it at one time.

JSO reacted toDeactivated Memberin The Official Crown Victoria ThreadOh, saw this yesterday. :D

JSO reacted toDeactivated Memberin The Official Crown Victoria ThreadBout' time somebody notices.

JSO got a reaction fromDeactivated Memberin The Official Crown Victoria ThreadI prefer no side moldings at all. it's weird how many people believe the car was exactly the same from 1998-2011 and can't tell the difference between them even though they changed many things on the vehicles over the years.

JSO reacted to Lt.Caine in Check out ELS for V!Hehe, it would probably be pretty great, especially since Albo is much more talented than I am.
Regarding an ELS release, I know the long wait has disappointed and frustrated many. For this, I apologize. Please keep in mind, however, that there is nothing more discouraging in this context than to work on a modification for so long and yet still not get to share it with others. After all, the purpose of taking on such a large endeavor, is in many ways to watch others explore, enjoy and benefit from it.
That said, why have we not been forthcoming with information regarding ELS? This has been a point of frustration for several members of the community, and understandably so. However unintentional the consequences may have been, the reason for this strategy was simple: nothing in ELS was--or is--set in stone. Throughout the development process, things have evolved, features have come and gone or been completely rethought. Even flash patterns have been redone about three to four times (that's hundreds of patterns!). Because ELS was--and is--constantly changing, an accurate picture of the mod could not really be conveyed to the public. We also wanted to strike a balance between reassuring the community that the mod was indeed in development, while not creating the type of hype that would result in people becoming impatient and ultimately frustrated. Perhaps that hasn't been entirely successful, in which case, I apologize.
At this point, most of the core ELS features are complete. However, a release is not yet possible for several reasons: a few core features still remain to be coded (takedowns, for instance); several features are being polished; and, I am constantly on the lookout for more ways to squeeze things out of the game in order to provide ELS users and vehicle modelers with more options and a better experience.
Furthermore, the recent developments regarding default siren ("carcols") configuration have provided a new avenue to explore for ELS. For instance, the entire "extra" method may be discarded and replaced with a new method using the "siren" parts. This is being explored, but is far from guaranteed. If it can be done, it would provide ELS with 20 individual lights as opposed to only 12, in addition to freeing up the extras to be used as random vehicle components--which, no doubt would be greatly appreciated. It would also mean more complex--and fun--flash patterns. However, this would also inevitably increase development time.
Were ELS a mod like most others, it might have already been released. However, the issue in this particular case is that ELS requires vehicle models configured to a particular standard. The fear is that were ELS to change dramatically due to a new development after an initial release, that players and websites would be cluttered with a plethora of obsolete vehicle models and ELS vehicle configuration files. Not to mention the confusion this would cause, which has materialized in the past. Therefore, the idea is to build ELS to a point where subsequent releases will feature only minor updates that won't disturb the community. And hopefully that won't take too much longer.
I hope this clears things up for most people interested in the development of ELS for V. I know it's been a very long wait, but I ask you for just a little more--just a little more time so that I can at least try to make it live up to your standards and expectations and prevent the need for huge messy overhauls down the road.
For those wondering about the damage issue, you may rest assured that it is fixed, but LMS is working on a solution that will make it portable and capable of withstanding GTA V game patches/updates. As for stability, there really is no comparison to be made to GTA IV. ELS V is extremely stable, and not a single crash has yet been reported outside of routine testing/development, even with AI vehicles enabled.

JSO reacted to PieRGud in [REL | WIP] LSPDFR Computer+Ever miss the LCPDFR computer? The one with the user-friendly realistic UI? LSPDFR Computer+ aims to bring that back.
Check out the Computer+ Git!
PLEASE CHECK THE FAQ BEFORE MAKING A SUPPORT POST!
Current Features
- Ability to search for persons and vehicles without keys conflicting with other mods.
- Uses the LSPDFR API to get ped and vehicle information. Also includes info left out of the regular LSPDFR police computer, like times stopped and number of citations.
- Uses the Traffic Policer API (if it is installed) to also show a vehicle's insurance information.
- Search fields are automatically filled out with the subject's information during a traffic stop, so all you have to do is press a button!
- Dynamic backgrounds! Depending on which police vehicle you're in, you'll get a specialized department background. Comes with RDE support.
- Looks practically identical to the LCPDFR computer (in terms of the layout).
[NEW!] - Active Calls screen, which shows all callouts sent by Dispatch, even the ones that AI units respond to! (Must have participating callout plugins installed for this to work)
[NEW!] - Computer+ now has its own API, for callout developers to use!!
Planned Improvements
- Integration with @Albo1125's British Policing Script and soon to be released LSPDFR+.
- Combining Computer+ and @fiskey111's LSPDFR PolicingMDT into one mod.
FAQ
My mouse keeps resetting to the middle.
-> Change your mouse input setting to DirectInput or Raw Input.
The game crashed when I tried to search.
->This issue has been fixed in 1.3.
Police Radio and Computer+ showed different vehicle owners. Is this a bug?
-> No. Computer+ follows LSPDFR's vehicle owner, while Police Radio sometimes doesn't.
How can I rebind the E key?
-> Change the context key in your game settings.
Do I need a Computer+ supported callout for this plugin to work?
-> No. Computer+ will work fine, just the Call Details screen will be useless.
I found a bug / the plugin crashed.
If the bug/crash isn't a known issue, post here with as many details about it that you can give. If the plugin crashed, please ensure you also include your RagePluginHook.log (not the rcr report) that contains the crash message.
I'd like to give a suggestion/provide feedback.
Absolutely! I'd love to hear it. I'm actively looking to improve this plugin based upon what you guys want.

JSO reacted to GravelRoadCop in Check out ELS for V!Here is a video of how the ELS is currently is right now.
IMPORTANT!
Please be advised that the ELS depicted in the video is far from the finished product and people should not expect final quality of the program and treat it only as a minor sneak peak + a chance to help us make the ELS better by providing feedback. The video is not meant to be a teaser, or to evoke high hopes from the members on the forum, and the audience, but rather to help you understand where the program currently stands right now, and how far we have left to go in order to deem it as a finished product.
The testers have opened access to the alpha version of the program for testing purposes only and want supporters to be able to see what they are supporting. Playing the alpha might be frustrating and tedious due to the bugs and work-in-progress content. There will be BUGS ! This is important because we do not want viewers to think they are seeing the final product when we are still just in alpha development.
Currently, be advised that the ELS program currently does not evoke AI drivers to pull over to lights and sirens. Also, you will notice that ELS does not auto-repair damage inflicted upon the vehicle the operator is driving.

JSO reacted to Alex_Ashfold in GTA V Modded VehiclesAll these Buffalo S getting released, im standing there vomiting, hoping some decent person would remove these FUCKING hugly SKIRTS
Yes I said it and it's feels so good, I would give my applause to that mod, we can create many different Bufallo S for Alaska, Philladephia, New York even though it's San Andreas, but whatever.
Im also excited by this new developpement and possibilities, but i mean like who thought about making a gallivanter baller LSPD car, instead or something more decent? (Yeah LSPD, not LAPD or Turkish).

JSO reacted to thegreathah in GTA V Modded VehiclesI agree with you. I would have preferred the default police cars to be remade first instead of these unrealistic police cars.

JSO got a reaction from Kilyin in 0.2b CrashingThat fixed it thanks!
-
JSO reacted to Kilyin in 0.2b CrashingAwhile back I saw someone post that changing
PluginTimeoutThreshold=10000 to
PluginTimeoutThreshold=60000 would prevent a crash, I think it was in fact related to pulling people over.
I made the change and have left it at that. Currently, I'm able to use shift to pull people over without issue in 0.2b.
If the above value is in your startup.rphs too, change it there as well so they both match.

JSO got a reaction fromDeactivated Memberin 0.2b CrashingThis is from a test I did the game is bought from steam and is up to date and and I'm running the most up to date RagePlugin. All I did was start the game went to a station just selected the first officer and first patrol car, then went out and tried to pull over the first car that I saw this caused the game to crash. Again this was just to test to see if the game would crash. It crashes anytime I try to stop a car.

JSO got a reaction fromDeactivated Memberin 0.2b CrashingI recently updated to LSPDFR 0.2b and everything works fine until I try to pull a vehicle over, then I get this message: LSPD First Response: WARNING! Plugin "LSPD First Response" was terminated because it caused the game to freeze (Freeze was caused by game fiber: <UNNAMED THREAD>). This causes the game to crash.
I'm pretty sure everything is up to date with game I'm running the latest RagePluginHook and only LSPDFR is installed at the moment any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

JSO got a reaction from sixium in Looking for Jacksonville Sheriff Office CarsThanks man they're perfect you're the man, and I like the idea of a pack ;)

JSO reacted to sixium in Looking for Jacksonville Sheriff Office CarsHere is what the skin looks like. Your personalized unit is in front with "T.L. Carroll" as the name, unit# 8214, and license-plate# 080214, to commemorate the date you joined LCPDFR.com. Two other units in there are actual unit#'s and officers taken from images. The remaining unit is fictional. All license-plate numbers are fictional. Two units have the "JoinJSO.com" bumper sticker. I wasn't able to find any clear pictures of the roof, so I guessed at the font from several partial images.
Please let me know what you think =)
P.S. Just to let you know, I might be releasing this as a pack in the future. Your personalized skin, of course, will not be in the release.
// Edit: I know the trunk text doesn't look big enough. That was a picture while I was still making final tweaks. It's correct in the pack.
